after 4 years I dont recall if anyone asked for this but its possible.
How bout a customizable hanger? something like a tab on the hanger were you can have your favorite planes. I like the P-38G, so I could right click on the P-38G and save it as a favorite. Each different load out I create for the P-38G I could save as a seperate plane in my custom hanger.
Example
Custom #1 P-38G (Attack) two 500lb bombs, Rockets
Custom #2 P-38G (Fighter) no ordenance
Custom #3 P-38G (Fighter -extended) Drop tanks, no ordenance

And add the option to enable or disable tracers for these favorite setups while you're at it. :)

Wasn't there somethin called favorites? is that still there?

That would be so sweet!

we already can disable tracers. Do you mean disabling it for one plane and not the other?

yes lol.. Such as the 109k4 with 30mm.
I think its a great idea... Less time :)
More coding :(

although I dont coad, I dont imagine this would real difficult. Not for someone that rights coad for aliving
When you setup a plane for combat, and outfit it with ordnance (man, i sure am getting a lot of practice spelling ordnance today)
anyway, when you out fit your plane for combat, all those choices you make are saved/written some where in a config file in AH, because when you finish that flight, and start a new flight, choose a different plane, setup it up. when you come back, the last setup you used is still on that first plane, its doesn't revert back to a default setup.
So if its somehow saved already then how hard could it be to setup AH to write a new config file for each plane and save it in a new folder accessed from the hanger?
Tracer setup is in a seperate location therefore I would assume its under a different config file, and either its on for all or off for all. Probably be a lot harded to coad tracers for each individual plane config

LOL that was funny? mkay no.
What is the differece?
I like the other ideas, but shooting with tracers 1 sortie then without the next wouldnt do much to help your gunnery.

For some reason I find that if I have the tracers turned off I can't hit a thing in any of the cannon armed planes (Spit, 190 etc.) - as soon as I turn them on I can start making deflection shots again etc. And likewise, if I have the tracers turned on in one the US .50 planes my gunnery goes to hell, but if I turn them off I can usually stretch 4-5 kills out of a P-51Bs ammo load.
