Title: Good helicopter sim?
Post by: g00b on November 18, 2005, 05:34:02 PM: I used to play Janes Longbow and Longbow2. I still have them, do they work on Windows XP? I seem to recall problems. Any other cool helicopter sims I've missed since then? I heard a rumor Lo-Mac would have a 'copter soon?

Post by: rpm on November 18, 2005, 08:07:09 PM: I forget the name of it, but there was a pretty good arcade sim back in the late 80's. It had you flying thru the streets of New York with a RIO yelling commands. The graphics were pretty good for the time.

Was my first sim spent hours upon hours on that thing.

Even managed to win the MOH once when I was in "the zone" LOL

Don't forget the Ultimas'

I'm not even that old and I know all these games :huh

Several times I've said that there needs to be an another quality copter sim!
Longbow II was so much fun back then, but theres needs to be another of its kind, with modern graphics, better physics and systems simulation.

Post by: OOZ662 on November 20, 2005, 02:59:35 AM: SimCopter all the way. Even has a full relism setting if you have a HOTAS/Pedals setup. And, if you still have SimCity 2000, you can use those cities in the game.

I still love sniping people on the road with a hijacked Apache while setting the nuclear powerplant on fire with a missle. :D
