Title: Mossie Raid Film
Post by: Nomde on November 21, 2005, 01:54:08 AM
Hi all
I've just completed my 1st full lenght film, woohoo! :D

The film is about the Forked Tailed Devil frame last friday, 18 Nov 2005. Pollock, viper61 of the 325th checkertails, and myself were the pilots for this part of the raid and we all returned home safe. :aok

The film is 50MB in lenght, which I didn't expect at all. I was trying to make it half this size, but by the time I got around to editing the various clips and timing them with the music, I ended up with this.

I hope you enjoy watching it half as much as I did making it, please let me know your thoughts....

I liked it, i hate constant action type films all the time good to have some veriety.  didnt really like the fancy editing was kinda distracting to have all the frame cuts and eye candy, camera work was pretty stiff. good first film tho!

I agree that the transistions were a little outta place for this type of film.  Great camera shots.  Was easy to follow.  Great music choice.

Things to work on are:  transistions, storyboarding and what you what to show to your audience.

to your hard work for this film plus the dedication required to put this together.

Do another one Nomde !

Thanks for all the inputs gents :aok

I went ahead and rendered the film for a better 56k dial-up response. I hope this helps with some of the long downloads some were experiencing. It's interesting to note the background detail became lower in the new rendering. I tried to find a good comprimise between the detail, sound quality, and download times. The new file size is 12MB, which is considerably smaller then the original 50MB.

Asfar as the action is concerned, I was concintrating more on learning the editing program and how to splice the various clips together. I was playing with all the media generator aspects in the transitions and having fun with everything.... I'll be more serious next time, hehe :p

Please let me know your thoughts on the improved (crosses fingers) download times. If this doesn't help, i'm changing server companies as i've had to talk with these guys a couple times before....
