BK's upped a mission asking for help...........

We wished to restore the knits to FT, but the overwhelming "side switcher" whines caused the mission to be taken down.

I've played for years, and I cannot recall another time when the side with the lowest numbers whined because a squad left the side with the most numbers to join the side with the least.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Why do people whine about switching sides?

Just thought it might be wise to ask.

Lets just say that a lot of people dont realise that this war is not real and when I bombed their town, it was not really their home or church I hit.

I'll be loyal to one country when one of them starts sending me checks in the mail. Heaven help the folks I switch to when they are down on numbers and then they whine to me about it. It will not be pretty.

Grits, I'm sure you didn't switch to help them out and do whatever they say.

You switched because YOU"D have more fun.
My point is, don't pretend that you switched just for them and they should then thank you.

Then again, they shouldn't say anything.

Spies are the worst.  But side switchers aren't exactly spies.  Some people get confused.

Look, I really have no problem with the BK's, or anyone else for that matter, switching sides, whatever the reason was.  The bottom line was that MegaDud shot me down and was on my range 5 mins later to help with FT, to you sir.I flew with Morph and Mega for a while and they were a great help to the Knights.  So, whether the switched for the Knights good or because they had more fun, who cares.  Bottom line is that more Rooks died when they came over, so thanks anyway.

ROFL  FOMWAG!  That is t3h aw3s0m3.

Anyway, switching sides is an aspect of the game.  HTC rewards the switching of countries to even out the unfair numbers.  I would honestly say that if you are loyal to a certain country, but when you log in you notice that your side outnumbers everyone else by 40 people you could do one of two things:  1) Smile and be happy that you and your buddies are going to roll fields without resistance and it will be an easy night for you.  2) Switch to one of the sides with the lowest numbers and try to stop the infidels with no concern about your personal, virtual well-being.

I would contend that option 2 actually will work to make the game exponentially better.  Seems that is the goal of most people here, or so they say...  So how come it doesn't happen more often?

No sir, we are missionaries.  Squads pay us to change countries and help them win the war.  We get payed huge amounts of money to sell information to the enemy about where the map rooms are located, destroy radar instalations so the NOE lancs cannot be seen:huh and where the VH are hiden.  How do you think we can afford to have all those shade acounts for vulching and scorewhoring?  Trators?  maybe, but I could not afford a Viper till we started this business.

Email Levi for pricing.

I switch almost every night. Log in and see where the fights are and who has the least amount of players on. I also enjoy the spy remarks so that is an added benifit of switching sides.

A "tactic" would usually imply that we do it as a means to an end.  In this case we are only helping the outnumbered teams, we have never done it for any other reason (besides the CV incident)....  What exactly are you referring to when you say this?

I switch when someone is crazy outnumbered, and I do it because I will have more fun, you are correct. I also think its the right thing to do so its both a fun and a personal ethics choice. I dont expect anyone to slap me on the back and tell me what a great guy I am (even though I am) but I sure dont want anyone to whine about it either.

Spies are lame, but so is loyalty to a chess peice in a video game. (hey...that rhymed)

Oh come on guys you know exactly what I mean. Anything to stir the pot.
Like this thread for instance. Disrupting opponent missions through side switching. All valid tactics for a means to an end. I am not saying it is wrong, or bad. As a matter of fact in some ways I admire it. But don't hide behind some veiled mission of good faith for the betterment of the game guys. :lol PLEASE.....................:rofl You guys are the game gamers!:O

No I'am not misinformed. I have watched it happen when a mission gets posted and the bk's are their to knock it down before it gets off the ground, because a bk has switched sides. Soooooooooooo........your point is what Dip.............?:furious

This has not happened in the time I've been a BK. Now you are just trying to stir the pot. We never decided we'd be the most visible and audible squad in the game. The preoccupation the people like you have with us is what has made us this way.

I've always floated between countries when there's nothing interesting going on (ie. only hordefests on one country's front)... as I already squelch all rednecks and prepubescent kiddies, it isn't much of a stretch to squelch the sanctimonious bananas that whine about side switching. Needless to say, I've mastered the art of typing /.squelch .

I can only speak for myself, but I have never switched sides to stop some stoopid mishun. I could not care less about your mishuns. Its pretty simple really, I pull up the roster and if one side has way low numbers I switch, if they are fairly even then I stay where I am. There is nothing underhanded or devious about it.

I'm curious, who was the BK you saw switch just to spoil a mishun?

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L

No, I'm not high on myself at all. I have never claimed to be good, nor have I ever claimed we're worthy of accolades or attention. I've never done anything but post here, or fly cartoon airplanes and shoot at stuff. To deny that the bbs population has placed us on some sort of pedestal, is to ignore every post such as yours. Look through the GD forums, and find a topic where we've posted, and someone hasn't chimed in with a "BK this-or-that" response.

I don't get it... I switch to find good fights... I may kill someone and then when I switch I will call or clear a con off their six..

What's the big deal?   Is it the hawiian vacation that HT gives everyone under the best chess piece every year?

If you don't switch.... how do you know anything about the other players?

There is how a person fights you and how a person fights against you..

often two very different things.

As far as FT or side switching goes the only thing I've done since the map was introduced was call out on 200 anytime a bomber took off from "my" base. Always have on any "side" and always will.

Fighter Town is for fighting. While I haven't made alot of bomber friends doing this I really don't care. You are wet behind the ears uber but you'll get it some day.

Really?  Wow, your BK paranoia level must be up there as high as luvbeer/mdm's.  So sad to see this.  Why would we switch to kill a land grabbing mission if we supposedly don't give a rats arse about the war?  I personally switch to find the best fights and to help the country with the lowest numbers.  If I happen to find a flight of lemmings, all the better.

No flame here bro:) No great BK Paranoia complex either. I think they are good at what they do. Dominate bbs threads and furballs. I like the way they manipulate the game to their advantage utilizing anything in the game at their disposal to tip the advantage in their favor. Maybe just a little admiration on my part Stang, Thats all. I do not have the advantage of playing many years in AW or AHII But if I like what I see and find the tactic sound.
