Title: Bomber Perks
Post by: AutoPilot on November 23, 2005, 02:50:37 PM
We always have a ton of bomber perks and nothing but a Ar-234 to spend them on.So i propose this:

B-29- no drones--------> 1500-2000 perk points.
It would have the Atomic load out option with a kill range of 25 Sq. miles.
This would not only create a frenzy once the 29 is spotted but will also allow for bases to be taken over faster.

B-25 Mitchtell-no drones -------> 500 + perks
Would have the 75mm nose cannon

A-26 Douglas Invader-no drones------->500+ perks
Also would have the 75mm Nose Cannon

Mossy with 6lb. cannon
can't leave the Brits out.

I already know i'm gonna hear the "This talk of B-29 is getting so old" lecture ,but i believe it would up the level of gameplay and give Bomber pilots something too look forward to.

WRONG, check out BOEINGs official website, these guys built a few of each model.

B-17 flew at 35,600 http://www.boeing.com/history/boeing/b17.html (http://www.boeing.com/history/boeing/b17.html)

B-29 flew at 31,850 http://www.boeing.com/history/boeing/b29.html (http://www.boeing.com/history/boeing/b29.html)

no troll here... 1500 to 2000 perks lmfao!

It's hard to take any request seriously when the mention atomic bombs, and killing everything in an entire sector.

It's even harder when the guy uses a shades account to do so.

So you dont agree ,Do i care? no i dont Joe Friday

Just my idea of makin the game a little more fun and makin the usage of Atomic power put at a cost.

Seems you dont fly bombers a lot in this game and have a lot of perks maybe?Just tryin to get my moneys worth out of a product.

I would really like see some usefull perk bombers. The B25 and A26 would be great, but 500 perkies each!? You need to put the crack pipe down and step away.

:D

Perk total ordinance loads.............. risk=reward.

half a perk per 2000lbs over 6000lb. (x 3 for formations)

Wheres SuperDud?? I miss the NOOOOOOKIE pic.....

I guess theres really 'need' for another bomber to spend perks on. But i also think 500 (much less 1500) is a much too high perk price for any plane.

Thats because you don't have an uber amount of perkies laying around.

Actually, i *have* tons of perkies..... I can count the times i upped a perk plane on one hand. And my faible for the low, slow and underdog planes in the last half year......

But this game is not only for Vets but think about the newer players that may want to have a realistic chance at upping one of the peerk planes in forseeable future....

I mean the first few months, you have really have to work hard for each and every perk point. I just think that the prospect of having to get thousands of them just to be able to up a perked buff *once* seems very discouraging to me....

Schatzi we are talking about bombers here and only having 1 thing to spend perkies on.

Just too be flying toward a base, then all of the sudden this big arse mushroom cloud appears and a bright arse light and poof!!!

The point is if you want to blow hundreds of perks at a bunch, fly the 234.

Give us the A26 at 10 perks.

Give us the B25 75mm at 15 perks

Same for the mossie etc.

As to the B29, sure, bring it on, in about 2020.

Until then leave it in the box. I figure by then I'll be dead or in nursing home and past carring.
