Title: Aces High skinning and plastic modeling
Post by: Citabria on November 24, 2005, 10:43:30 AM
am I the only one whos plastic models all ended up with rocket engines and fire crackers attached to them being sent off the roof in fiery explosions?

thanks to Aces High I can now indulge my pyromanical and artistic endevours into a single reusable medium that allows me to destroy my artwork an unlimited number of times. :D

any other skinners find shooting up planes using their skins very entertaining?
I mean after all that work and all the frustration making sure everything on the texturemap looks just right.... RAT TAT RAT TAT TAT KABOOOM!! :D

No you are not the only one.

Many of the modells I built when I was a kid ended up in as flight test beds from the window attached to fire crackers and or lit up and already in flames.

This was something my mother was never too fond of. And unfortunatly the flight test (which would eventually have made me an aeronautical engineer and rich as hell) came to an abrupt end.

Now my parrents have them selves to blame for me being poor and unable to support them :D

I think the model building community is 50/50 split for those that did and those that did not blow up/shoot/rocket their models.

I fall into the "did not" crowd. I'd never do that! Look at all the time and effort I put into them! Even the bad ones when I was a kid, I'd play with them more than destroy 'em.

Oh well, 50/50 :P
