The gun loadouts on the A-7/R-1 and R-2 are freaking ridiculous.:O

1 burst from those things and the enemy plane would be vaporized.

Hope we get it.:D

It never made 400mph in actual service.  Topped out at 390 something.  The 416mph was a company claim.

I don't think the 219 ever served at squadron strength. I think just a couple of odd ones flew around by themselves. I could be wrong but that's what I remember reading.

Yeh I love it but....

Quote
For some reason the Luftwaffe decided to skip over this gun (although it served perfectly well on the Ju 87), and install a gigantic 75 mm gun from the Panzer IV. A huge hydraulic system was used to damp the recoil of the gun, and an auto-loader system with twelve rounds was fitted in the large empty space behind the cockpit. The resulting system was able to knock out any tank in the world, but the weight slowed the already poor performance of the plane to barely flyable in this new Hs 129B-3 version.

With a climb rate of 1800 fpm and service ceiling at 41,000ft it must take a day and a half to get to a decent altitude.

You guys wouldn't have the patience to climb above the tree tops in that thing.

Going back to the 219... It SEEMS like a lot of firepower... But look at the bf110G2 we have right now -- even with 4x20mm and 2x30mm all firing ahead, it still has some of THE WORST bullet trajectory in the game. AH has porked 30mm rounds beyond use, so I'd rather see some version of the 219 with 2 belly packs that have 2x20mm each (for a total of 6 20mm). Then it might actually hit something.

I can't comment for everyone... Its just that I don't know anything about this plane..

I'm with the earlier post... I'd love an ME-410.

Id like to have both the 410 and 219. 410 looks sexy fly and the 219 looks cool to, but even cooler if HT puts the night fighter radar system on it.

O=219
@=plane
)=radar waves
---=Bullets
X= Explosion

   O))) )  )   )    )      )      )        )         )          )         ) @

   O -  -  -   -  -  -     -  -  -  -  -             -  -  -  -  -   XXXXXX
