OWRL!!!
-
That's funy, we noticed the same thing ... check it out, Funked is on OWRL2.
How did u do? Sancho discoed while in 4th. I was runing with 11/19 wing settings ... cutting thru the breeze with pain. I was dramatically slowed for 5-6 laps by 2 crazy drivers going at it in front of me. I had to wait for them to take each other out to finally pass safely. Not a mistake, just cruised around gently, gave me the 5th place. I really suck at tuning those cars, I'll have to get your car settings collection :D
It's ur first race in OWRL, isn't it?

Double Wasp..........hmmm.:aok

There was a typo and they put me on Server 2 in my first race, with all the points leaders. I qualified 1:10.5x, P9, and was running as high as P7. But I started getting sloppy and decided to park it after 35 laps or so. I practiced enough but overslept and was still groggy. I'll run the next race though, and since I have no points I should end up on the same server with you jug dweebs. :)

Email me you setup funkyboii, best I ran was 11:45. I even think someone confused me with the pacecar :furious

Blackwood, not reverse, right? I use csimpok's from that link.
I do mid 10s regularly and high 9s when pushing. Mid 9s could be done easily with a wheel, but with my gamepad pushing Blackwood kills the tires almost as fast as Westhill.
I had a better one from Paps, of Muroc I think, but I can't find it atm..
It's really easy to find where you can drop time with the replays, watching the Forces and Suspension view, but if you want I can help you out if you send me a replay.

what game is this and how do ya get into it?
-
We talking about LFS S2?
If yes we gotta get a AH BBS race going! VoX and me recently been infected by the racing virus.
Caveman - check http://www.liveforspeed.net
-
It's the AH of racesims, LFS. Cheap eye and ear candy for now (it's a "beta"), but great gameplay and netcode, function before fashion.
Info, downloads and addons at http://www.liveforspeed.net/
http://www.lfsworld.net/ keeps stats, hotlaps, race results, 30 personal skins total for the 20-some cars and helmet in the game, and a lot more that's quicker for you to see yourself than me to plug here..
It's a lot of fun.
What's your gameID, Kirin?
-
Hey Moot,

LFS ID is Breizh
How does qualifying work for this league?
-
10 min all on the track, except ovals, we go 1 by 1.
-
crap that's short... this is right before the race?
-
Yes.
-
Do you guys use steering wheels?
-
Just an Xbox gamepad atm.
Some people manage WRs with mouse or keyboard, YMMV tho :D
Someone made a ghost car mod: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=3322

i find it hard to control acceleration in formulas and RWD cars in general.
-
Just take it easy at first.. ride the traction like you do the stall in AH.
You can try putting R1 slicks to help out, although you'll get a better feeling by putting on the slippiest tires you can. That can get tedious if you don't have the patience though.
slickmod @ LFS forum (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=86)
Put the tire sounds to the max, that helps too.
A good setup for the particular track you're practicing is also best.
If you use a gamepad, it is less easy as you have to have a precise thumb and analog stick.. usually I'm forced to keep the steering lock around 15deg, 12 or 13 in the Formula cars. The only way to not spin out is to know your lines, but like in AH it becomes second nature with enough stick time.
You just have to get comfy.. pretend the car is your legs.

Next race is Dec. 10, click on Calendar.

Thanks.. I understood I couldn't race till next season.

I use Logitech Driving Force Pro with CH Pro Pedals USB.

This thing is definitely more like a spitfire than a jug. Lotta fun though. We managed to do some formation flying at 3 inches AGL:
