i just wasted 7 mins and 23 secs of my life to watch some crappy whine about something that i dont even understand. you collided, oh boohoo. it happens all the time, stop making a big fuss on the bbs all the time.
you all fought well, you just collided with him, every bit your fault as it was his. and dont go complaining about cherry picking whatever, because they were just using wingman tactics. really childish how everyone does this

I just don't understand how people can fly like that, lol.

My point exactly. It was more boring than watching paint dry.
you all fought well
Wrong. These guys are average MA lamers like yourself who consider this a "fight". Unbelievable.

Me either, never will.

Key thing here is, that you were following one while the other was on your high 6. Thats bad. Get them both high on your 6 and sucker them in. Roll back into them showing your canopy then roll out showing only the side profile of your plane (much smaller target) Wait till they're 1k or until you see the counter hit 1000. They'll be blacked out going for a shot but you'll no longer be where they're shooting as you're going to be rolling over into them to complete the over shot. If you give them a shot they think they're going to make, but you know they never will, they'll try to take it and burn a whole lot of energy, they'll still over shoot (because they already did on ever pass they made before, that's how you know they will again) but they wont have as much speed so you'll have a shot.
Rather than split S's which put you nose to nose with them coming down on you, and give no good angle at all for a follow up.
-
I dont really understand why you splitSed either Dipstick.... what I usually try to do in those kinds of situation is get them to come from front, dive a little under them (to avoid HO) and turn high into them in a mix of barrel roll and Immel. That way you gain alt (E) and if your lucky enough and they try to pull for a shot, theyll blow theirs. The two of them gave you enough room to climb in between passes. Or, if they come in fast from six, make a lazy break turn at d1000, cut throttle and tighten it at d600, barrel roll up and over at them (shoot them if youre lucky).
I know that might give them an opportunity for a lucky shot, but i usually deem the risk worth the E i get. Wrong?
PS: Dip, i still dont really understand why you posted that film.... wanted to get them ripped apart for BoreNzooming you?
-
dont get me wrong dipstick, i hate cherry picking lgheys, but its normal in the MA, much to everyone's annoyance. you cant get all worked up about how some other guys fly, its their money, they can play how they want. its that exact reason that i log out of the ma and off to the ta all the time, no good fights, just hordes of dweebs. you can't get so negative of people for doing what they want, thats what i meant was childish, not you in particular, but the whole gang of people who try to ridicule other people using films on the bulletin board. what was whining going to accomplish. im sorry i came out so cold to you, and yes, they were bieng lame, and not fighting fair, but thats the way things work in both reality and in games, why should they give up an advantage. it was a bit of a lame act, playing with you while another guy tries to cherry pick, but dont stoop to their level by trying to take the piss out of them, it doesnt accomplish anything
-
There is no such thing as playing fair in a fight Pooface. If you got alt and or E why blow it? You shouldnt. Anyways, playing deffensive is far more fun in a situation like that, because you get the oportunity to take away their advantages.
The thing is,they took way too long to work one con. Way too long. And they werent really working together, just making passes when they had up to but not less than 3k separation. One of them was in a Spit9, he could have turned with Dip while the other was going in for the bounce. Or if he had enough sack, he could have turned with dip and tried to finish dip himself, while the other con, the La5, waited up top. There are a number of things both parties could have done. Just my opinion of course.
Best thing here for Dip would have been to get them together and both in the same vicinity. Not 1 on your high 12 and one on your High 6.

It was boring crap. Plain and simple. If I had been the other Spit I'd have killed me before the Lala ever got a shot.
This game seems to get that way alot lately. Due to non-skilled players, timid flying, scorepotatoing, lousy maps with fields too far apart, etc.....
It just seemed to me this film typifies that lameness. Basically I'm getting bored with the game and may not be long for it. Oh well, nothing good lasts forever. :(
-
your both completely right. AH's main downfall, is not the game, but the way people play it, gaming the game.

Please, explain to me, gaming the game here and what in the name of god that has to do with this film?
Personaly, I just thought it was god awful flying on lukukumimis' and namakawanas' part. Or whatever the hell their names where.
-
It was boring, but to their credit they did get more aggressive there at the end. Of course, it's pretty damn near inexcusable that they allowed themselves to become the victims of so many headons. When you're in a position of strength like that, there is no reason why you should ever have someone HO unless you screw up. To do it repeatedly is, well, the hallmark of inexperience.

No disrespect, but as long as HTC keeps getting new players(which is an asset to HTC), new players are skilless and are timid. We forget how hard this game is to learn, flying, keymapping, etc. so as I see it as the game improves and more new players come on board, the skill level will continue to drop.
We take newcomers into our squad to give them a safe haven to learn
all aspects of the game and not feel like an outsider. And we have developed furballers to Stratguys, we let them pick there direction.
Hopefully to improve the skill of the game, which indirectly is our main mission. As I believe it is with many other squads.
There aren't many out there who have learned it all, hell I haven't, and I've been playing for many years. Some nights I can't throw a beach ball in the ocean, let alone get a GOOD kill, and some nights I sneeze and bad guys are down.
Gotta relax mon, go with the flow, remember mon U gettin alot more kills then them, so who should be upset. So have a drink and a toke an relax mon.
btw morph, can ya make a teaching film or two. One for me, Levi teaching gunnery in the AH world, and one which could be pasted to show new players how to fly.

Schatzi, my 3D visualization challenged brain is stretching for this -- I THINK I have a good picture of the move you describe, but if you could post a snip of a film I'd love to see it!!

I know it'll be a Hurri I film, but I'll try to generalize it to a real airplane....

WOW!!
AWSOME flying !!!
However if the la7 wouldve realized that they have throttles you wouldve died early on,as you just barely forced the first bnz overshoot. Why make a post on the bbs about someone's flying style.Maybe they're new and were doing the best they knew how to do,complimenting each other as they continually forced you to do the same move over and over and over. Most new players just know they want to land 2 kills just so everyone can see their name in lights. Why dont you invite them to the ta/da for some training ,then after 2-6 months of learning and they're still not improved to fight to your caliber then you can poke fun at them. This game and it's new players will only get better if those who are accomplished sticks help to improve the newer guys. You'll find me in the DA helping and being helped most of the time.I have sent numerous new players my collection of fight films which I've taken from other squads websites and other imfo gleamed from the web. to help them learn just a little more.Try it ,it's very rewarding.Alot more than posting on the bbs trying to prove some invalid point of superiority.

Uhmmm... if the MA really sucks today as you're all saying... is it worth it to make a subscription?

There's always a reason to complain. However, there are hundreds of awesome things going on.
You just only hear about the complaining.

Absolutely! Load up a bomber and head for fighter town. It's great fun. :aok

Lol, thanks, but... the matter is that some of the guys above know me and they know that basically I'm a furballer... another wannabe complainer! :p

Here you go Simaril. Not 'textbook' executions, but you didnt really expect that from me, did you?
http://www.furballunderground.com/freehost/files/26/DodgeBnZ.ahf
BUG and I played that game for about 15 mins.... until i was low on fuel and had to go land. I ended up at 8K altitude at the end of the fight. Unfortunatly BUG did the same and was still above me :).
That last one on the Spit isnt really doging BnZ, but its the same move.
Film of that breakturn/overshoot..... Go look at Morphs "MyDarling". He does that very move with perfect timing on the F6F right before he pops it.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH - I got Ganged up on and BnZed by t3h noobies!!
They were so mean for using their E and alt as an advantage instead of lowering their E to my level for a fair fight. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Clearly you missed the whole point of the post. The two players flew inefficiently and opened themselves up to multiple HO passes. That's not smart flying, and I'm pretty sure that's not what they would have done if they had known better. My take on it isn't that Dipstick was mad that they had an advantage and refused to play fair, but rather that they failed to maximize their alternatives, flew poorly, and never pressed their advantages.
In other words, it's a pretty good example of how not to fly with speed, altitude, and a wingman against a lone lower enemy.

Exactly! I do admit they got a little more agressive towards the end but by then I was bored stiff and wanted to HO the dweebs just for being dweebs. I kept Split-S'ing to give them the best chances at a kill but they were to lame to capitalize on it.
PS... Ignore stork, he was obviously bottlefed.
PSS... and casper was the bottle.

My guess is that Maknumi was flying his first sorties in MA while Leukku was winging him and trying to teach him how to survive in MA. You got to be a victim of target practise, that's all. A noob can't get a kill even in easy spots always.
Too bad if it was boring for you. If it was me against you, the fight would have ended up real quick.
With me doing a stupid mistake and getting killed. :D
Sometimes I let my 5-year old son to fly in MA on my account.. let's see when someone posts a whine about that too. :aok
-
the blue velvet safety squad with matching purses and pumps will whine, it's their MOS.
