Best I can do after digging through my Jug stuff. Looks like G.C. II/5 was operating in support of ground operations during the Battle of the Bulge etc.

Wait a bit I'm warming the scanner and diffing my books :D
About your skin , not bad ,but the colour of the roundel are to bright IMO at least you didn't put yellow around :p
I can't believe it, I've not a single profile of a P47 of the Lafayette !
I'll ask on a French forum, stay tuned :)

Have you seen : http://zargos-skins.checksix-fr.com/ZSF_2/skin_fb_p47lafayette_fr.htm

Not to steal the thread, but was the P-47 above destroyed when the museum had a fire in the 80s or 90s (Can't remember when it happened).
-
yes straffo i know the colours are a bt bright and i havent added the yellow,is just a rough mock up at the moment which i been putting togeather when i got a few spair minutes and i wanted to show dan that the help he gives is not wasted.
It took me ages to find the drivers for my scanner so i could get the indian head on it.

one of each for our French friend

I like number 23 better, but only because the roundels stand out nicely against the BMF wings and have left-over bars from the US markings (I think, I don't know if they're standard on French markings)
-
I'm with Krusty on this one.....gotta be a first :)
23 looks better by far.
-
23 is better ,the yellow around the roundel is too orange.

what do u think guys hows it looking to u?

I really like 23. I think NL surprised me at how well it turned out, as well. Is that a war-time or post-war bird? (doesn't look like your average bear, I mean jug). As for AF*R -- it looks good too, but the others steal the show :)
