How is a hit percentage >100% possible?
I notice this in the bomber and attack vs. objects category.
-
Lets say you drop one bomb on a town and blow up 4 buildings, you would have a bombing percentage of 400%.
I am pretty sure thats how it works but I am not an expert.

Scoring with 2 women at the sametime = 200% hit rate

That's correct. The best thing to do when rank whoring for the bomber category is to take a 1800kg Stuka egg to a factory and drop it in the middle of the biggest cluster of buildings you can find. It is usually good for 15 buildings, that a %1500 hit %. So, it's how many buildings destroyed PER EGG, so fewer, bigger eggs is better than alot of smaller ones for hit %.

Zazen,
I think it counts damage as a hit too, not just destruction.
That said, bigger blast radius on fewer bombs is still better, just not quite to the degree you suggested.
-
Believe Karnak is right.
Whatever the actual "blast" touches counts as hit % so you don't actually have to destory the buildings. (making big eggs even more effective for hit %).

Bombing and jabo scoring needs alittle changing.
as stated above 1 big egg in middle of cluster and u get
out landish hit%s.
Change: ( i able to be coded)
Hit % should never be over 100%. the bomb or rocket should
actually have to hit a building/GV/ship to be counted in the hit%.
if u miss but close enough to do damage/destroy said target then
put the % in a new category called collateral damge % (this could
go above 100% depending on how many targets damaged per bomb).
id say drop the attack category on fighter sorties, and just add the
sub category to fighter stats. this would stop the gaming of fighter/jabo modes for rank purposes. if ur in a fighter and die, it should count as a death in ur fighter stats, even if u jaboing.

Absolutly. I am sick and tired of vulching people repeatedly with no effect to their score since they were upping in attack mode. More over, it is total BS that just because I took a few bombs to hit the FHs with me, and happened to find a few people on the runway, my 10 killzzzz wont count towards my fighter score. I mean, the WTFGs on 200 are good, but I want my name on the front page too.
Change it or I will quit :furious

Yea, that is probably correct, I recall doing the PT boat rocket thingy and getting 200% hit % with one rocket. I know for a fact the rocket only actually destroyed one building, so it must have 'splash' damaged an adjacent one without actually destroying it.

I'm torn on the Fighter/Attack issue. There's a couple of problems how it plays out. First, if you merge fighter into attack the timidity factor of the MA will increase, those that would use their fighter sorties to vulch and attack sorties to mix it up may be less inclined to mix it up if every death screwed their fighter rank. The same goes for base defense, those that would only attempt a desperate base defense under attack mode, may not want to do so if it screwed their fighter rank.
Certainly, merging them would have one opposite and nice effect. It would decrease the suicide jabo dweebs. If everytime you 'followed-thru' on your FH pork your fighter rank got screwed a rank conscious person would probably not do it anymore. Overall, I think merging them would increase timidity, decrease porking and increase vulching, so kind of a lose/win/lose scenario, not a very compelling situation.

Why can't it be set up that anything you kill with external ordance is counted as attack and anything with internal guns is counted as fighter. If you up for base defense from a porked field you can't take ordance there for your a fighter.

Then what about strafing ground targets?

Well, its easyer than that, no?
If it is on the grownd, then it is scored as attack. Even planes. Planes destroied on grownd = attack. That may be hard to do (for what ever reason) so, everything but planes. If it is on the grownd score it as attack. If you had a nice fight with a church at 10K then score it as fighter.
Only issue I see is the hit%. Wont know what to score it as in a low fight.
