AAR: Soviet Bostons, frame 1.

We split up in 2 groups, with Kanttori's group going west (with the intention of circling the target and coming in from west) and Mipoikel's group going northwest south of Kotka straight to target. Mipoikel's group (in which I was) was surprised just west of Kotka, we got bounced by some (at least 2, probably more - this was flown with Friendly Only icons!) 110's there. Bizman and I were shot down, 3 or 4 bomber formations got to our target (the city of Helsinki). But all of them were shot down before they made it home. The southern group had a bit more luck, they all got to target safely and bombed succesfully. However, they were caught on their way home - only 2 or 3 made it home...

Frame 2:

This time all the bombers stayed in 1 group except for ookkoo who was our diversion. We headed north from our home base towards Saimaa lake and avoided enemy radars. Then we headed west without enemy contacts (we were going on the deck - NOE) and after passing Helsinki we turned back for our attack - from the NW. All bombers made it to target, however after the bombing we were caught by the 110's and most of us were promptly shot down. IIRC none of us made it home safely, but at least we managed to destroy Helsinki with our bombs. Ha-ha! ;)

Whoever took those screenshots has their gamma jacked way up, which is what anybody has to do to fly at night. NO THANKS.

EDIT: Okay, sorry, that sounded harsh. But night and AH != fun.

They're Mipoikel's screenshots, I think he's Photoshopped them some to add contrast and brightness..
