Well, since I like to irritate both sieds of the fence; here is what I received by email, sent by a gun toting American friend of mine (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif). I thought it was pretty funny.
Here's a bumper sticker for American liberal weenies.

You folks are too much addicted to guns (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Haha Santa, I'll pay you ten thousand dollars to drive through East LA or Compton with those stickers all over a big bellybutton white rental van with your egg shell white smiling face behind the wheel.
-
Heh. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Keep in mind that not all of us American liberal weenies are against gun ownership, at least this American liberal weenie isn't for a ban on guns. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Or would that just make me an American liberal, without the weenie tag? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

What is that picture of? Some kind of spelling bee?

Easymo it's a primitive form of NASCAR.

HUH ?
These two words say it all:
WORLD CHAMPION
(you know U.S of A is also part of this world?)
Maybe one day we'll see an Amurrican F-1 driver(propably not. Your cars suck and your drivers cannot even shift gears).
There's a slogan in "World Rally Championship" world:
IT NEEDS A FINN TO WIN !
Hannu Mikkola,Rally champ 1983.
Markku Alen,FIA Cup champ 1978, No WRC then)
Juha Kankkunen,Rally Champ. 1986,-89, 1991, -93

Staga, you are ignorant of F-1 history. Two US pilots have been world champion. I'm sure a US driver may enter F-1 again sometime, but there is not much reason for them to do so - they can make more money racing in the US, and they can drive much faster cars (CART 400 km/h).
PS Read this, I think you will like it. http://agw.dogfighter.com/agw//Forum7/HTML/001145.html (http://agw.dogfighter.com/agw//Forum7/HTML/001145.html)

Yep Funked, I saw it Yesterday.
Thats why I throwed the hook and look what I got (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Well I already got some fish so no need to this bait anymore:
In Finland we have 5 million habitants;
2 F-1 Champions and
6 Rally Champs and FIA Cup Champs.
In U.S.A you have 265,5 million habitants so then you should have:
106 F-1 Champs and
319 World rally champs.
Well ? Who could keep your flag up after Emerson and Mario ?
(Those American cars: My friends hobbys was Amer.Cars few years ago: Chevelle 2d HT -70 427Cid. and New Yorker 4d -65 (with original white back lights,Red shined thru white glass after you turn lights on) 413Cid, old Finnish government's car with flag. I loved those monsters, 350hp and more torque than in AH (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif))

Actually Emmo was a Brazilian. Phil Hill was the first US WC, for Ferrari in 1961. I met him once.
319 WRC champs, we are in big trouble! Of course Finland has zero Silver Crown sprint car champs. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
PS I am going to USGP at Indy. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Staga,
With all due respect, there are many more things to do in USA then in Finland.
Two most popular sports here are almost unheard of in Europe. There are many things americans do that are not done in many other places (like executing criminals (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)).
So I would not be surprised if car racing was much less popular here then in Finland or running was less popular then in Kenya or hokey was less popular then in Canada.
So there is no reason to expect us to have "106 F-1 Champs and 319 World rally champs."
As a matter of fact, the favorite pastime of Americans is making money. If you look at the list of top 10, 100, 500 etc. richest people and especially if you select among them people who made their fortunes themselves, not inherited, you would probably see many americans and few europeans.
We are quite good at things we put our mind to... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

And how many Finns have been both IndyCar and F1 champions?
And how many F1 races are held in the US each year?
BTW.. on a side note.. what country has the most F1 champions?

Yes, My mistake.
Phil Hill 1961. Sorry. I wasn't born yet those times so I didn't remember it (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Formula 1 champions 1950-> (http://www.utanet.fi/~formula/mes.htm)
Finnish site but quite clear.
(Voitot=Wins; Paalut=Pole pos.; Nopeimmat..= Fastest rounds; Kilpailujen..=races that year)
Funked: Selanne.
Propably he drives better in track and rally than Hakkinen plays ice hockey (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

LOL. Mika's car is a little bit UBER (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) is not it?
Well, I imagine IF Shumy pilot this uber cars... No formula 1 then, I could say in the start of season who will win. Now we have something to argue about (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Well, we all know WHO is the best formula 1 pilot for the last 8 years, even when he do not win seasons. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Hiya Fariz,
Nice to see you are still hanging here (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
How's your job going?
That was kind a strange opinion;
Could you explain to me that when Mika wins it was because his car was Uber but if Schumi wins it's because Schumi was the driver?
Then: If Mika lost the reason is driver but when Schumi lost the reason for that is the car?
Weird (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Edit: In Hungary we talked with Germans and surprise: Maybe 10-20% of them hoped Mika wins the season.
These two drivers are propably the best now in earth and I hope the rest of this season
they can have a fair play. Few years ago Schumi used some very dirty tricks on track against Villeneuve and Prost(not sure this one), He rammed them out of race, and I hope he's gonna play the game fair this time.

I will repost from my AGW thread. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Michael's championships were a fluke, only possible due to the power vacuum after Senna's death, and the retirement of Prost, Piquet, Mansell, et al.
For the first one he had to intentionally crash his opponent out of the race to clinch the title after he screwed up and realized it was all over for him.
For the second one he had the best package by far (Benetton Renault). Hell even Johnny Herbert, of all people, managed some wins in that monster! And don't forget that they were caught red-handed with illegal traction control but were let off the hook. Probably because Bernie needed a new star to replace Senna.
Mika will win his 3rd straight WC. Not by cheating or crashing his opponents out of the race, but by being the best driver. Ferrari will probably stick with Schumacher for another year, then after he fails again, he will be driving Mindardis or Saubers or whatever they give washed-up Ferrari pilots.

Somebody put a Diesel to a indy racer in USA;
Do you guys remember which engine that was ? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Hint: No spoilers at those days.....
-
Bug: Ovals are cool. I think you have to be at the race to appreciate it. The key is that you can see the whole track. And the cars go much faster than on an road course. CART races on ovals, road courses, and urban courses. The guy who brought rear-engined cars to Indy was John Cooper, his driver was Sir Jack Brabham.
Staga: I know of a Cummins Diesel car. Were there others?
Karnak: I was just trolling with the Finn comment. They seem to have larger balls than the rest of the Euro-weenies. Rally driving and hockey are definitely non-weenie activities.

Cool page! I go to the Monterey Historics a lot and have seen a lot of the old GP cars and drivers. Last year they had a bunch of Auto Union cars including a V-16 with Hans Stuck driving. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Also there have been guys like Phil Hill, Stirling Moss, Juan Manuel Fangio, Jack Brabham, Denny Hulme, Chris Amon, Parnelli Jones, Dan Gurney, Caroll Shelby, etc. usually driving the cars they drove way back when.
My favorites are the old Benz cars like the W196. One year Fangio was driving this car for a 5 lap demo. He drove slowly the first lap, with a 600SL in front of him taking pictures. He gradually increased the pace, forcing the 600SL to drive faster. Finally on the third lap the 600SL spun, and Fangio goosed the W196 and did two hot laps before returning to the pits. Needless to say, the crowd went nuts. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

The Belgian GP qualifying session was dominated by Mika Hakkinen.
The flying Finn was the second driver to set a time, taking provisional pole, which was only temporarily taken away from him for two minutes by Jarno Trulli. The McLaren champion went on to improve on his own time. In a surprise top six the rest of the places were taken by Jarno Trulli, Jenson Button, Michael Schumacher, David Coulthard and Ralf Schumacher

Also that Button is kind a strange; When season started I didn't believe that he could stay in F-1 but looks like he's there to stay and even have a chance to climb to podium. Nice (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif).

Ferrari 312 T5 from 1980 ?
Maybe Gilles Villeneuve?
He was famous because he was one of the few who could drive his car "side slide" (look pic...)
Right or wrong ?

I'm so good (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)
Ferrari won championship '79 (Jody Scheckter) with 312T4.
Because cars no. is 2 it's from next year 1980, Model 312T5.

I used to drive a BMW with a differential lock. Kinda strange; Sometimes I wondered if I could install wipers to side windows... Did it asphalt too (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
Once I took couple architechture (sp?) students from Boston with me and they were quite silent all the way from Mantsala to Helsinki (Highway, 50km). Maybe because I drove 120Mph in the middle of the night... Little hurry (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) (speed limit 75Mph)
Ohhh.. btw:

Jacques and Gilles were Canadian. As much as I'd like to claim they were Americans... its just not true. Someone from Canada is a Canadian. Someone from the US is an American. Someone frome either is a North American (Mexico too).
Jacques was someone I hated in Indy... he was a decent driver but seemed to always be hooked up with the best team/car. When he went to F1, I thought he'd get his butt kicked (as did most of the world). I guess we were all suprised.
I've heard that Jacques actually spent several hours practicing at each course. He took the competition very seriously and spent the time researching and driving to overcome the experience handicap. Micheal Andrettie Jr. used to just show up and race (minimal practice). The difference in dedication was readily apparent. Thankyou Mr. Andretti (jr) for showing just how lazy an American can be.
All this talk about Mika and Schumi is kinda funny to watch. You guys do realize it just hasn't been the same since the days of Senna and Prost?

JV had the best car in CART? I don't recall Forsythe-Green winning ANYTHING before he drove for them and they've done very little since then. He drove a Reynard Ford which several other teams had. He won because he was the best driver - that's how it goes in CART. IMHO he's the best driver in the world to this day.
Except maybe Häkkinen! WTG Mika!!!!!!!!

I have to agree. But I didn't think that when he was racing Indy. I don't care what the past history of his team was... for 2 years they kicked but. The car never broke... the pit stops were short. They were awesome. It just seemed like Jacques caught more breaks than the average driver... and usually that is because of the team.
When he went to F1.. he dispelled all those believes.
There was another indy driver that I believe could have done the same... but he died last year in a tragic accident (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)

Gilles & Jacques Villenueve... the Canadians, started with sleds (snowmobiles).
To race in the winter takes dedication.
As european rally fans know.
No wonder Jacques tested the tracks in F1 before racing on them.
Besides most American drivers only know how to turn left... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I'm a Ferrari fan. I do like Schumi though.
I will say this, after watching yesterday's race I noticed two things. Mika's car definately was braking better yesterday, even though Schumi was posting faster laps earlier in the race, and the move Mika put on Schumi to get the lead was just IMPRESSIVE. He almost had Schumi the previous lap, but I think Schumi did an outstanding defensive move. But on the pass on that corner, that was just outstanding driving on Mika's part.
