An excellent read. I don't particularly like the "cold war" reference at the end though. If it were "cold war" days... the US would have been more than willing to describe the excact manner by wich the sub met its demise.
It seems that the US may be keeping quiet about it because they were asked to. Something that would never have been asked for... nor granted during the cold war.

Yep it makes sense. Weapons are about the only thing on board that ship that could have made such a large seismic event. It disgusts me that they tried to make it look like a collision and made people believe there was any hope of rescue.

I agree funked. I guess old habbits are hard to break. At least they seem to be learning.
