Post by: crowMAW on December 01, 2005, 07:30:33 PM
Its the simple things in life that mean so much.  Puppies...pretty flowers...a train horn on your truck.

Damn that horn is LOUD (http://videos.streetfire.net/Player.aspx?fileid=DAFBBF1C-7796-4D17-AE4A-59455DA39AD4)

Unfourtunately I'm reading them out of order.  I just finished Post Captain, and read Desolation Island a couple of months ago.  I'm wondering where The Fortune of War is going to pick up, as things where left so up in the air at the the end of "Island".

Rise and Shine, up and out.  I have a sharp knife and a clear conscience. ;)

I am generally in a great hurry now to get through the first chapter of O'Brian's books.  I can't help thinking, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, just get your orders and head out to sea!".  :o

The horror and desecration!! (Skipping through the story will leave you costive, and can cause marthambles)

The best historical novels ever written, with great characters and great action. Read 'em through twice so far.

I envy you, reading them for the first time. Read em in order, savor them and enjoy!

I so need those for the Jeep. The current horn sound like it should be in some 80s VW golf with a rainbow sticker on it.
