That looks very good.  A bit of dirt never did anyone any harm - you know, wing roots, exhaust fairings, below cockpit etc.

Which Jg Raven?

JGr Ost ("Training School, East"), Hermann Graff's plane. He was one of the first (if not the first) LW pilots to reach 200 kills, so they pulled him from front line duty to prevent his death. He still took every opportunity to go out and engage the enemy from what I hear, though.

thanks selector

i have the ops down to 9 any more and they dissapear if i go lower it wont have any rivets.. The first one i did had prominent rivets  so i toned this one down  the rivrts on your jg54 A5 are rised looking  and more prominent from the cok pit than Than this skins are you sure your not confussing it with my other post of the first one.

what do you thing of the detail on the ports do they look like you can put your hand inside ?

btw I like your Jg54 A5 that is a really nice skin job  nice weathering
and the shading on your engine cowl really gives it a 3D look and feel it makes me think I could open her up and change the oil.
your paint chiping is allso world class
also your wear on the wing were pilot walks is  spot on :aok

Heh, sorry I didn't mention it when asked, I was curious to see responses of others first. I like the way you've done the weathering on it. I think it's come a long way from the first screenshots and looks great!

The 190 has split flaps. You would not see any seam on the upper surfaces.

rgr ty
thats a quick fix thanks

The flaps in my reference show a small gap.
As it's a moving part in must have a gap its larger for the aileron than the flap though.
it is a bit to heavy on the shading on the flaps I got a bit carried away ;)
heres the toned down version

Oh, raven, as an aside, if that photo you posted was your reference to flaps, it's not a flap in the photo :)

That photo shows the port aileron. The smooth part past it is the upper wing surface over the flaps. If you look at the gap inside the wing, you can see the flap itself, it is a separate piece and rotates down, leaving the upper surface smooth.

Not really important, but just some info.

good thing I wasn't using a bi plane as reference it would have made a funny looking 190.

Very, very nice ;).

Gotsa question:  did you work around the kink in the texture out near a wingtip on the bottom, or did you just leave it that way?  When I started on an A5 a while back, I ran into that problem, I was too lazy to work around it and too disgusted with it to finish the skin with the problem visible.

Ty bullet .. Im not sure what you mean "kink in the texture"
some thing under wing?  what did it look like?
Title: new 190 a5

It's a minor problem, bullethead, and for the most part will only mess you up with panel lines. If you're careful you can work around that. In general as long as the camo pattern has a solid color over the kink, you won't notice it -- and most 190a5s have a solid color over that part of the wingtip. This is not present in the A8 skin, fyi.
