I've been running a Soundblaster X-FI ExtremeMusic sound card for about two months now and it's been good. However, I'm picking up a local radio station in the background on sound recorder files. It is a station that I do listen to on a regular basis but I've unplugged my receiver and I can still hear it in the background when I do a soundrecorder test to check out my mic for vox use in AH. Anybody have this problem or a solution?
All the Best...

Look on the Creative website under user forums.
Lot of good stuff there:aok
Hope it helps
P.S.
I have the X-Fi myself, but do not get the radio station interference:confused:

I used to get that if I held onto the bottom of my right speaker. Try moing your sound card ever so slightly next time it's off.

Come on guys isn't it obvious? Actually what you are experiencing is Electronic Voice Phenomena, or EVP. Basically in this case it's no doubt the voices of musicians attempting to reach Graceland and stuck between worlds in your soundcard. :O

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Thanks Sundiver:huh

Well actually it was just a simple move of the sound card further away from the video card that squelched the problem. I guess I can plug my stereo back into the wall socket again. hehehe

Could have been a bad IRQ as well.
