Anybody know a site where I can find and read automotive repair manuals for free?

I'd look for a bbs on your type of vehical and look at the "how to's"

Wouldn't it be illegal to make copies of service manuals and release them? If I'd need an illegal copy of a repair manual I'd probably look from the same places where I'd look for illegal copies of music. Which I'd naturally never do.

Well... if you happen to own a 2000-2003 Nissan Xterra, I could help you out. I have the official Nissan manuals.

You can buy Motors Manuals for about $5-10 on ebay for used books... Motors has allways been the best in my opinion.
