Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I'm wondering why I can have my settings maxed out in AH without problem, but in other flying games (MS FS9, WWIIONLINE) I can't do anything like that. I get slower frame rates in those games (20 on a good day, under 10 with anything at all happening). Here I get 30 to 60 and I never see any lockups..
The graphics look just as good here as either of those two games. Is it just smarter code?
I realize this might lead to a detailed technical explanation, but I'm just curious..
I've been away for a while, playing WWIIONLINE since around the year 2000. I missed flying online so I've come back to give AH another try. It's really still alot of fun!
My system :
MSI Neo something MB with Geforce chipset
Athlon.. something something 3200
1G RAM
Geforce 6600GT 128M PCIe graphics.
Older IDE hard drive
Windows XP, letting lots of things run in the background.
nothing else special
Again, I realize this might be weird, because I DON'T have a problem running AH, just wondering WHY. :)

Compare the size of the game files
How big is ww2ol
or IL2?
AH- 71 mb

My AH folder is 156 MB with the .exe being 2.12 MB. You must not have a sound pack installed...or something...
IL2 FB folder is 1.25 GB with the .exe being 11 KB.
