Hola,

Jimmy Whye aka: pjmy from the old WB day's posted a message in the OT section about our very popular AH/Playnet/Targetware/WB racing league that we started recruiting for more flying sim based guy's to race with us.

His message got deleted and he is banned now.

Please tell me this was a glitch and not done on purpose?

HTC and crew has always been very open and by no means are we trying to pull people away, to join our League you must be a simulation pilot. We don't let non-simmers in to the League.

Perhaps the HTC crew would like a little bit of rubbin wheels themselves?  :p

Nascar4, GPL ? Think your fast? We got a pile of old turds that are fast as hell...

Hi Buzzbe,

There's no problem in posting about your league in this forum.  There have been countless posts on it in the past.  However, when an outsider comes here to promote their own agenda, I would recommend not to use words like 'roadkill' to describe our community.  Taking potshots at the community and game while promoting something else comes across rather trollish and is not welcome.

Called Jimmy Whye (pjmy) and talked to him about the "BS" comment. Actually, it was not directed to the AH Community and I don't think he understood the response from the normally friendly atmosphere here.

As your aware a number of us have had a really bad experience with another firm that is in the same business and JW was cranked about something that had just happened.

We live and die online based on community, flight simmer's in general are the cream of the crop. That is why we only allow our community to race, we just plain have more fun.

Any chance of an HTC team for either GPL or NASCAR 4?

Many people from this community play those games.  People of this community are also players of AH.  Its important that you don't step on one to promote the other.

Understood, I can't really give JW a hard time about it though.

I have a history of meltdowns myself on message boards.

The comment was not directed at any company, but a specific person causing great problems on AGW.

Proof is in the detail, I won't even mention the person (ignore is the best rule).

It was just misunderstood.

If I remember correctly, I ended up with a major bent up car when we reached that group that was flying around there. Here is a 3/4 front view of my car. Those are fun and fairly easy to paint.

OK...where do I go to get into the NASCAR racing?  I tried to get into the GPL stuff, but it was just too much crap to download.  Would love to do some NASCAR 4 stuff though.

Nascar 4 has just one little patch and then it is ready to go, BUT you have to pay 40$ for the game, since it is brand new.

I have the game already Gadfly, and I dont recall having to download any patches.  Do you guys have a NASCAR league or something?

There is a built in update feature on the install Sling.  There is definately a patch for the game.

I'm not really sure on league stuff.  We just connect to our own server so there isn't any kind of "searching" that I do.

Our League is GROWL and we run GPL and Nascar 4, only for flying simulation pilots that we know from AH, Playnet, Targetware, WB.

just signed up at the vpaddock site buzzbe.  as soon as I get my DSL up and running, I am ready to do some racin'.  should be getting my modem this week and getting it going by the weekend, hopefully.
