Title: Throttle map problem
Post by: moot on December 05, 2005, 05:12:03 AM
WindowsXP SP2
Asus A8V deluxe
A64 3500
256MB of 3200DDR
ATI X800P 256MB
Audigy2
DX9c
Saitek Cyborg evo
Xbox controller with XBCD drivers
_____________________________ _____________________
First of all, the Saitek drivers aren't installed because they've invariably ****ed with my windows setups, thus far.  I don't know whether it could be something else or not, so till then it'll be a last resort.  All Saiteks I've owned worked fine (except the very first one on its first few installs) without installing any drivers besides the stuff windows loads automaticaly on plug-n-play.

The problem:
AH sees the joy and all its axes and buttons, calibrates and maps them normaly, and I can see the inputs (except RPMs) working in the blue realtime window that's under "joystick > settings", only the throttle doesn't work in the plane.
RPMs map and work correctly for all planes and engines so far.
Throttle doesn't respond at all in the 110 and single engine planes I've tried (spit16 and 8, Yak9U AFAIK).
In the 262 and B17, throttles 2,3,4 all work correctly.

The XBOX controller plugged in with its drivers installed caused no problems the last time I had AH2 installed, more than 6 months ago.

tia for any help or guesses.

I'm pretty sure installing the Saitek drivers isn't going to fix this.
Anyone have guesses or insights before I try it?

rename your settings folder and if it work compare the new CFGs with the old one.

Knew it was something simple like this, just needed sleep and/or a lucid insight, like "RTFcfg file" :D
