Anyone got any advice as to the best Catalyst drivers to use for Aces High?
I'm using the Catalyst 5.11 drivers with a Radeon X800 GTO 128Mb AGP card and I'm getting frame stuttering and mini freezes, especially low down and when there's a lot of smoke.
Thanks

I use the 2625a Omega drivers with my ATI X800
NP what so ever

I have a X700 card.
The ATI 4.12 are the ones Skuzzy told me to use.
Both later version ATI and the Omega drivers gave me all kinds of grief.
When I went to the 4.12, the problems went bye bye, and I can now play. :aok

You'll probably have the best luck with the 4.12 drivers as they were the last decent drivers that ATI put out. Where you may run into problems is with newer games as the 4.12 are about a year old now I think.
That's the ones I use as well. Every time I try the latest set I invariably come back to 4.12 in order to resolve problems (not just AH, but many other games as well).

Where can you d/l the 4.12s now?

I am not sure the X800 GTO card will be recognized by the Catalyst 4.12's, but you can try.
ATI's previous drivers can be found by explanding the menu lists on the left side of the downloads page. Should be self-explanatory as to what to expand.

I using the omega drivers based on the 5.12 drivers. No issues here.

Thanks guys, I'm trying the 2.6.87 Omega drivers; so far so good. The stuttering I was getting appears to have cleared up. I'll post any problems that crop up.

what drivers are working best on a 9800 pro 128meg?
I'm getting lots of mini freezes & stutters.
-
the 4.12's .. also drop your ingame graphic sliders down just a itsy bitsy bit ... until the studder go away
-
I can find about everything but 4.12s :cry
Tried previous drivers but no luck.
-
Nevermind, I found them :o

I have a new 256 PCI EXPRESS card ATI should I use the 4.12 drivers also? and if so where do I find them?
-
No no. Only ATI cards older or less than the X800 series should use the 4.12 drivers. Some of the X800 series will work fine with the 4.12's, but others need the later ones to be recognized by Windows.
