Title: Backlighting for the cockpit instruments
Post by: moot on December 09, 2005, 06:01:01 PM
Either authentic (phosphorescence all over) or only the dial crown+major arrow.
We could see the dial circles, and recognize from our peripheral vision where the arrow points.

Because the instruments just don't appear clearly now, even less when in the shade.

Which planes? The new spits and 109s? That's not a backlighting problem, that's a problem with the default instrument faces. Poor color choice, and whoever skinned them had their gamma WAY high and had a super bright LCD (I'm guessing) so to *them* it looked nice. To the rest of us we can't see chit.
