I was wondering if anybody ever setup there computer on there tv. I just got my new tv and was thinking about doing it. it is 60inch so not sure what it going to look like. figured try to to it for a night just to ppp off the wife .
-
What kind of TV is it? Rear projection, plasma, lcd etc., If it's real projection, likely its not going to look good at all. However, if its a plasma or LCD, it should look pretty good.

Neighbors I grew up next to have a projector onto a movie screen maybe 12' wide and 6' high (whatever figures make those jive is what it is) and their kids play PS2 on that sucker. I'd LOVE to hook into their surround sound system and don some track-ir gear with a simpit in that mofo for some real fun :O

As soon as I pull My finger out I am doing this

Looks like you should be good then. No problems, I'm not that TV savvy either.

I have a buddy stationed over here in Italy with me that plays his PS2 stuff on his projector. 10' x 10' picture with surround sound!! SOCOM games are awsome on there... wonder if would let me hook my computer to it..... :O
-
I remember hearing about this guy doing it :)

If its a plasma it looks nice.
-
thats the guy from the post in the hard ware forums, look at teh blue lamps above the TV
-
Ya know I never used to the teh until someone made a post about it......
Now I do it all the time damit.......

I ran AH onto my Phillips 30inch HD at 800x600 and it looked really nice. But since my regular computer monitor is 22 inches it wasn't enough different to be worth the effort.
That phillips tv is a regular picture tube 16:9 HD though so it was nice and bright, I'm not sure what would happen with the newer technologies.
-
If AH would support multiple monitors it would be cool to set up a simpit in a dedicated room with a HD video projector pointed at each wall. A very expensive way to get vertigo.

Your SXRD should look great if you can get your puter working on it. Some folks had problems with that one. That's one reason I bought the HP. It is connected through HDMI at 1920x1080 Progressive. Check AVSFORUM.com.
