This skin was proposed by Guppy35 and represents an 8th AF / 4th FG / 334th FG P-51B-15 in the spring of  '45.  It was not clear if this aircraft was ever assigned an ID letter and the "L" was a "Best Guess."  The "L" was originally assigned to "Salem Representative" which was lost in July 1944 and made the "L" available for use.  (For more info on choosing the ID letter, see: P51D Skin request. 4th FG for Fencer51 (http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=160301) )

It has been Guppy35's dream to be able to fly mixed P-51B and D formations in skins from the same group.  This skin, if accepted, would give Guppy35 that opportunity.
