About 5 minutes ago my 7 week old cocker fell into our swimming pool and started to drown. Luckly my little sister heard him crying and got him out. However he had trouble breathing and stops breathing every now and then. he is on his way to the animal hospital. PLEASE GIVE HIM BEST WISHES!!! AND PRAYERS!!!

And I know a good school which will teach your own language. ;)
-
not much sense in that one...i think you need to go to school
-
:lol Russian is how much older then Lan? At least 5 i'd guess, making him 20. Russian is a fine product of USSR schooling, I wouldn't get into mind games with him.
-
Unbeleiveable.
Puppy falls into a pool and a kid is worried sick about it and someone finds a way to act like a buttwhipe and turn it into a flamefest.
Hope the dog turns out ok Lan
-
Actually Dred, I can believe it.
-
Some people's children..................... ............................. .

Oh yeah, hope the puppy is alright Lan.

Imagine that, stepping of the shortbus into a path of a speeding greyhound

Itll be fine Lan. And your cocker will be just as noodlesure as ever after this event.:)
-
Have a 1 year old Cocker of my own. Had a 13 year old female before that - it'll be fine. Stay tough kid.

An effective way to extract water from small animals lungs is to grab the rear legs and spin them around fast. The centrifugal force will extract the water, seriously.
Another option is to lift the cat/dog from the rear legs and shake untill the water comes out.
I've seen small animals get saved that way, even one small person (child) who was about to choke to a candy.
-
It's also very funny to watch.
-
Ripley, please don't give (bad) first aid advices if you aren't trained to.
Spin a child fast can damage his spine if done jerkily (remember, you'll probably on the verge of panic at this moment). Or his head can accidentaly smash against something. At the very less, you'll just lose time because it is ineffective. I don't care if this "technique" results into the death of a pet, but this isn't something to mess with a child.
The proper way to try and help a choking person is the Heimilch maneuver. There are 3 variants for adults, kids and babies.

Oh, you can't extract water from lungs without the proper gear and training btw. The only effective way to help a semi-drowned is CPR.
-
Still funny, though.
-
I heard about a guy who knew a guy who saw a guy stab his drowned pet in the chest. It let all the water out and the pet was fine. I heard about it on the internet! It's true!
And Russian, I understand. I had to read it 10 times myself to understand wtf he was trying to say. I'm still can't do anything more than make an educated guess.
-
He's confirming the dog is at the vet's.

There are also courses for CPR for animals, they instruct you on the proper compressions and breaths per minute, including the ratios needed.
We ended up 'bagging' a cat once, thing survived too, swear animals are alot more resilant than humans.

Lan any word on how things turned out? Sad stuff man, hope the pup's ok.
:(
-
Lan's post was very coherent and perfect English.
Lan. Hope things turn out OK with your puppy.

-
Glad all is OK. Be careful about what you say. I knew a guy that said something similar to that and the other guy shot him because he thought it was a trreat. It was old farts though, so you probably don't have anything to worry about for the time being.

Such elegant wording! I can’t imagine self-pride you feel when typing that. If you are serious, contact me by private message.

glad to hear your pups OK.
had a similar scare last summer. my bird flew out of the car and landed in the street just in time to be ran over by a car doing about 40mph. the driver did everything he could to stop but it was just too quick.
he still had his wings open when the car went over him (they span most of the space between the tires.) . he rolled a few times with his wings open and shot out the back of the car. the next car stopped less than a foot from hitting me as a ran out to pick him up.
amazingly he was pretty much OK. he gathered a lot of grease from under the guys car and had a little blood-shot area on one eye-lid, where he hit his head. but other than that he was fine. I guess the down-draft of the car shoved him down before the actual car would have hit him.
I can't remember when the last time I was that scared or relieved.
it's just an animal, unless it's your pet.

amazing I get banned from another forum for outting a con artist. And here is a grown man picking on a kid.

Glad your puppy is doing better!
