I am surprised no one has dubbed in a P-51 passing all the cars ;)
I once read a car magazine report on a P-51 versus a modern (early '90s) Corvette. They figured the Vette would win to 60+ mph. The P-51 was to the end of the runway and retracting its gear before the Vette hit 60 :) funny how at low speeds, a prop has a lot of pull, especially compared to tire driven vehicles - i.e. no slip.
I would rather drive my own car than simulate it. For simulations, I'll stick to things I can't do, like flying:

Nascar... ahhhh the advanced version of the "skid pad"
Give me rally racing any day.
Even the fans are "men" they just stand on the edge of the "track" without safety railings. EEEEEK :)

Hey streakeagle,
I've got xtreme air racing on order.
I've been following it's development for some time.
What's it like? screen shots I've seen make the graphics look a bit to "crisp". Whats the FM like. I know they have turbulance prop wake etc , so it can't be to bad, Lyle Shelton reckons it could be used to learn circiuts for the real thing.
Have you flown in the online league yet?

Didn't mean to hijack your thread Cabby ;)

Hey snafu,
I haven't even ordered it yet. I have been following it for a while and I am waiting to see some hard core commentary on its realism. I don't need a Crimson Skies game, I want the most realistic flying experience possible within a pc games' price range.

I prefer the real thing, at Seattle International Raceway on Saturdays (Granted, its not 400+ HP, but the straight-aways allows about 120 mph) ;)
My NASCAR fun (http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1722739&a=13824316&p=54778088)

I might add, NASCAR has come along way since I used to play it, man V4 has some great graphics, whats the recommended hardware requirements for that?

My mid level system runs it fine, Rip, full detail levels, 1280x768.
