I think the performance of the IL2 is out ot line. It was a Ground attackplane. Poor manoeuvrability which made it easy prey for powerful Fighters. It need fighter cover to Survive. The IL2 could not turn with a figher like it can in AH.

Could you describe what aspect(s) of the Il-2's performance you are referring to and why you think they are incorrect? You're opening statement is too vague to be of any use.

The IL2 is a slow plane with a big wing, it could turn well especially against a fighter attacking with greater speed (more speed = wider turning circle). TheIl2 was not a poorly manueverable plane.

Do a Scenario where a squadron of IL-2s gets attacked by fighters without escort and the results will be predictable.
That being said, attack planes and bombers were not just poorly flown hunks of junk waiting to be destroyed by heroic fighter pilots with silk scarves flying in the breeze, they were often tough to bring down, flown by men who knew what they were doing.

The IL2 has terrible vertical performance and is plain slow. It can turn sharply though, and can trade al its E for a head-on shot with all that armour and those mighty cannons. This makes it very dangerous to a novice pilot. I once got 5 quick kills when flying CAP in an IL-2 and laughed so hard I flew into the trees, hehe.
If you're halfway decent an IL2 should pose not much of a threat unless he has massive amounts of E on you. If you are in a lightly armed fighter it may take half your ammo to get it down though.

It's only flaw is the rear gun having only about 150 rounds...I mean...that's enough for 1 engine-bleed tops!

I read somewhere that the il2 had the lowest loss rate in the Red Airforce,which I found suprising when you think of the job it did.
I think the Bf 110 turns much better than Historical accounts seem to suggest,but I may be wrong,I'm sure someone will let me know.:)

Overlag in his IL-2 makes a lot of people feel miserable.

The Il2 is the master of making someone overshoot and being able to kill them as they blow by, and if you're a novice at causing the overshoot it can take alot of damage.
The tail gun is only good for killing zekes.

i have heard real-life Fw-190 and BF-109 pilots complaining about how hard it was to shoot down an IL-2.
PS
the armor plating on the IL-2 is invulnerable to rifle ammunition.

I have to agree on the 110. Several times I've been closing in on one from behind only to suddenly be eating cannon fire HO.
And before anyone asks, I AM seeing the change in target AoA. I haven't seen SPITS 180 like that.

The Il-2 was quite manoeuvrable and could make a difficult target, but in RL its pilots were not trained in air combat so rarely performed well against fighters.

Agree...big wing should give good turn performance...I have to admit though that the modeled vertical performance seems excessive however. I have nothing to base this on, it just seems like a bit much.
The only real problem I see with the IL is the availability of the external view. Airplanes like the 110 and Mossi aren't given it yet u can fly the IL all day as a fighter using bomber views. Look at the pilot's (and gunner's) view from the cockpit, this plane should be the easiest to bounce without being seen but it's one of the hardest. 100 percent SA in a "fighter" type aircraft is quite an advantage and extremely unrealistic. Either the other ground attack planes should be given it or the IL should lose its (my preference).

The inflight GPS 360 degree RWR that all ac in the MA fly with does skewer things a bit, thats true.
The IL-2 brought down in WW2 was probably the one who didnt see it coming untill it was too late.

Only two fighters I have ever killed with the Il-2's tail gun are a P-51 and an La-7.
It can kill if you are accurate. In general it isn't very useful though.

The Mossie had the external view when it first came out as it was in the "Bomber" category and flew out of the Bomber Hangars. It was silly though as the Mossie we have is a fighter-bomber. It was often used in the air-to-air role, though most often at night. The performance combined with the nose mounted firepower made the Mossie a fighter coming out of the bomber hangar in AH.

Like my squaddie Nunn said to the noobs in the TA crying about me out-turning their Spit16s in a 110:
The flaps themselves are like growing a couple P-51 wings, much less the rest of the wing area.

The point of my post being, from all the data I've EVER seen on the 110, it SHOULDN'T be able to do that. I've even had one in a DIVING TAIL-CHASE do a perfect pure-yaw 180 and climb back up on me.

Ed,
the IL2 is not overmodeled,was slow, heavy cuz of armour but good turn rate
In game has the huge advantaje of outside view,+ one of the best cannons
