Or in Dowdings case, S.O. ;)
Mine asked for a new fishing pole. Did I tell you how much I love shopping for my wife? :D
-
Mine asked for something "sparkly".
I'm torn between hair glitter, or a new tooth.

My wife wanted a new floor... I'm too damned tired to shop.

Nice!

Nice job Sandy, now what the hell is that white demon on the floor doing it's damdest to scratch it up? :D
-
The white demon is called Petey. He is a jack russell terrier. He's quick to anger, but slow to fight, cranky but emotionally needy, energetic but overweight.
All in all... that little mound of fur that my wife loves ever so much is just a pain in the ass.
Still... he's probably the better of our two jacks. The second one is a hard headed, incorrigible little ****.

A glove to keep her warm when she's not in my pocket. ;)

I figured it was a jack... they are amazing little critters. I used to have a rat terrier. Best dog's ever imho. Same way though as a jack, short temper, will fight in at the drop of a hat, not as cranky but hardcore emotionally needy, energetic like a reeses monkey on crack and definitely not overweight. Loved her very much. Ex girlfriend took her too watch her while I was unable to have her for 6 months. Refused to give her back... atleast I know she has a great home and someone else who truly loves her.

Well... Petey's problem is that he has short legs, and when he tries to run too much he starts coughing. Even when he was a pup, he'd hack like an old man with the flu.

We could create the "Jack Russell Terrier Squadron". Maybe everyone would join. ;)

You should see my jack. I have a jack pointer mix. Can you imagine a 45lb jack with all the energy of a regular jack.
-
My wife asked for a $1600 pair of earrings, I am still mulling that idea over.
-
The wifey asked for $500 so she could go shopping at Victoria's Secret.

Swoop saw what I bought my wife last night when we hooked up in London on way through on my return from Mumbai. It wasn't something she asked for...but something I knew she wanted and well deserved, putting up with me for 6 years for example. ;)
She knows about it and has promised me many things if she can see it tonight as I just got home a couple of hours ago. I'm gonna cave in about an hour...she's eating dinner right now and then plans to have a long bubble bath and put on something "comfortable".
Ahhhhh...life is good.:aok

My wife got me.
Merry Xmas.
And yay, I turn 25 in 4 hours.
-

Curval you got plastic surgery?;)
-
My girl didnt ask for anything.
Unfortunately, that gives me more guilt to not get her anything.
So I bought her one of those new eco drive watches (gasp)
-
We just realised with my wife yesterday that we've been so busy that we haven't laid one thought on Xmas shopping yet. So we haven't shopped for anyone else let alone figure out what to get to eachothers.
We just got back from a Xmas cruise. Was dumb not to buy something from the tax free for her. Oh well..

Nice! Our main floor downstairs is wood too, except for the Family room, which is burbur carpet (good thing too with our little ones). Now that the kids are older, my wife wants wood for that room too. Will you come up and do my family room? :)

Why not use the camera to take a pic of what you respect most about her? :p

Ripsnort, your continuing obsession is a little worrying.

This is what the wife wants replaced with the same wood in the previous pic:

Sandy, I've not done this before, did you do it yourself or hire someone? Pretty easy project?

Looks nice, Rip.
Our floor is a 30 year laminate. It's made by Dupont. I have a friend of mine that does flooring for a living. He came over and helped us with it. It went fairly easy because he had all the knowledge and the right tools for the job. There's this little thing called an undercut saw. I couldn't see ever spending $400 on one, but the results are great if you use it.
-
I recently put down a engineered hardwood floor over concrete. Put down over 1000 sq ft. Wasn't very difficult, but was a fair amount of work. Will put up picture if I get a chance. Hey, maybe I can count that as xmas present to the wife!!!

Thanks for the info, sandy. Replacing this carpet on our "Wants" list for 2006. The kids are old enough now and not burping up food on the floor. ;) This Family room is our next "Project"..new floor, new couch, new Plasma, etc. Everything will be "in leather" as the wife has expensive interior decorating tastes. Doing upgrades to one room at a time...

With a wife who is a licensed interior designer, gues what she wants?
Sigh, we have been completely rebuilding the interior of our house for the last 6 months, or so. I say 'rebuilding' instead or 'remodeling' as we are tearing out walls and the fireplace, moving some other walls, putting in a couple of new walls, staining the concrete floor, removing all wallpaper, texturing, painting, new wall/floor moldings, new draperies, new roof,.....
She wants money for the house fund.
You know how much fun it is to move a load bearing wall? OY!
-
She wants us to FINALLY get the new car we have been talking about since this summer..
oh.. and she wants a new watch.. and that wish will be granted. (shhhhh)
