I love the thing it is (in my opinion) the best tank in WWII but in the game I
don't scare panzers they scare me.
-
No, we have the T-34/76 with an inadequate gun.
If we had the T-34/85 then it would be worth something.
Panther V G was the best all round tank of the war.
-
And the Hellcat?
-
Was undergunned for fighting GVs, though in attack mode could take bombs to do the job.....
:lol
-
lol, might aswell bring the nuke on here...
-
Mustang won the war.
-
Referring to the Hellcat tank.
SOmewhere on the boards there is it's data. Quite impressive.
-
M18 Hellcat? Well... a very fine tank destroyer, fast, reliable, excellent gun. But not a real tank. Frontal armor only 13-25mm. You will have to fire from ambush (That´s what tank destroyers were built for). And don´t let even a M8 fire back! :D
-
Ok. Very fast though and packed a punch.
BTW wasn't the panther infamous for mechanical problems? Or were they teething problems?
-
Teething. By the Panther V G they had it sorted out.
-
It can't fight the Spit though, damn think won't bleed E!

Lol,Mustang entered service when Germans were already retreating.
-
Yea but even if the ground forces where retreating doesnt meen the LW was dead. By the time the P51B/D came to service the LW still had many good pilots. Most of the fights where over the channel and some over france tell the P51 came and downed many good LW pilots over their own country. 100s of bombers and 1000 of bomber pilots and gunners where saved due to the P51 being able to escort them all the way and back.
-
I still use T-34 in ambushes in a bush with my green camo they never see me:D
-
Maybe we should try to get the 84 on the game because it won the war for the soviets
and thnx
for info
P.S. is there anyway to get pictures of a T-34?

the p-47 had lower losses than the mustang and it shot down more planes and destroyed more stuff on the ground. the thunderbolt won the FIGHTER war for the americans, the mustang stole the glory. the true heros were the b24s, b,17s, b26s, b25s, etc.

If anything won or had the largest part in winning WW2 it was probabily the GMC CCKW 353 - 2.5 Ton 6x6 Cargo Truck.

Supplied to EVERY Allied Army - they hauled fuel, ammunition, rations, troops, equipment, etc. without which any modern battle would have been impossible.

P-47's in ETO ww2 1942-1945
No. of Sorties: 423,435
AC lost in combat: 3,077
Enemy AC destroyed in air: 3,084
Enemy AC destroyed on ground: 3,202
P-51's in TWO ww2 1942-1945
No. of Sorties: 213,873
AC lost in combat: 2,520
Enemy AC destroyed in air: 4,950
Enemy AC destroyed on ground : 4,131
So the P-51 (from the P-51A to the P-51D) destroyed almost 2,000 more aircraft with half as many missions as the P-47, though in this book I'm getting these stats from the P-47 also dropped 113,963 TONS of bombs well the P-51s were only 5,668 tons.... Now you can see where there roles settled later in the war.

Those stats tell me if you wanted a much better chance of survival, you flew a P-47 :) Over double the sorties with only about 500 more combat losses? :O
