I'm thinking of picking up CFS3 to try out the mod, the mod itself is free.

LOL i was think the same, i will get CFS3 just for this WWI sim ! :)

The more I read, the more I'm seeing limitations of the CFS3 engine that may let me down.

I may still buy it to play it until the next WWI game comes out (late 2006 hopefully) which uses the Il2 series engine.

I will wait for the Il2 add-on. I always hated the CFS series...
