Howdy Im tryin to set my 2 rotory knobs on the throttle for trim. Has anyone done this? Or does anyone know an effective way to do it? Should it be listed as Bands or Axis?
Thanx
Glenn

though I am a X45'er, I have a X52 (profile in sig)
depends on how you want the trim to work..
if you set them as axis, inside AH you have to assign the axis to a trim and calibrate them to work..
if you set them as bands, you have to set three bands up with a dead band (no movement) on the middle band and assign the up & down trim commands to the upper and lower band on the rotor

Trim will NOT work on the rotaries, even if assigned correctly, with the combat trim activated. You must turn off the combat trim if you want to use them and use purely manual trim.
I got it to work easily through the set-up in AH.

not sure with X52 but my X45 uses both - once I roll the rotor for manual trim, combat trim is disabled until I press the button it is programmed to and re-enable it..

Well maybe with the X45...but it drove me nuts with the X52 until someone pointed out to me that I needed to disable combat trim. As soon as I did it worked great.
