Title: Problems with NEC 3500AG DVDR
Post by: Glasses on December 22, 2005, 01:02:57 PM
HI I've had this DVDR drive for a while but until recently I decided to burn some DVDs to back up some games that I have the problem is whenver I try to burn DVDs it doesn't allow me to do it.

I have the most recent firmware for it,and I've burned CDRs in the past without trouble.

Any Clue as to why I can't use it to burn DVDs?

anyhow thanks,

I re installed windows and My DVD burned a copy of a DVD Game I had perfectly, I installed SP2 and the same media is not detected but as a full 0 byte DVDR.

So it can't do anything after installing Sp2 so my suspiscion was correct as to it was a Software problem. Tried with Nero and it has the  same problem too it doesn't detect the Blank DVDr after installing SP2 it did however prior to it when I re installed windows.

I did as you suggested  I set my region but still doesn't work.

That software problem might be DRM related too if it came with SP2.

Well you don't get me Prior of me installing SP2 both Windows and Nero and everything detected the media as a blank  no used space DVD+R. After I installed Sp2 . Windows detects it as a blank Full DVD+R, so no program including NEro detects that it can be actually  written upon it.

SO any clue or hotfix or anything else?
