Title: saitek X52 key mapping issue
Post by: HugeHead on December 28, 2005, 08:55:36 AM
Greetings,

A few days ago I installed a new game pad. This may or may not have caused my X52 to loose all it's mappings. I've managed to restore all mappings except one and I would appreciate any suggestions on this.

The AH key map will no longer recognize my throttles POV 3 hat button. I used to use this as my gun zoom in and out button. I'm out of ideas and nothing I do seems to restore this mapping.

Please help! I can't shoot straight as it is and this is just making things worse;).

Regards,
HH

I havent been able to make that work as yet. AH doesn't seem to recognize them. I guess you could create an X52 profile by mapping the AH keys to it.

Myself, I haven't bothered to really try that. I should read all the instructions but, to me "Manual" is a kid from Brazil.

You can apparently use the programming software to set the rotary to work as buttons in the two directions...I never did it. I used the ones on my X45 for trim.

Yes you can use both  wheels and the slider on the throttle.  I have the top wheel used to zoom in-out my clipboard map with the big blue button toggling the clipboard and the small wheel to zoom in and out my gun zoom.

If you would like I will send you my configuration file for Aces High II for the X-52 Flight Control System.
