Wonder how they would take it if the driver had been armed and used that weapon?

random inner-city youth
in 1 attack the youngest was 9 oldest 14.
they killed the man with rakes and shovels
then the 14-16 year olds killed the mentally retarded man by beating him to death for the $20 or so he had on him. (he was homeless)
shall i go on?
it makes me sick what these ANIMALS do. they should be treated as such too IMHO.

Sad :(
I've come to look at such things as a by product of the process of our society, and political, and legal system.
No accountability. If they are caught far too frequently the judge lets em off because the system trys it's best to make the judge do just that. Sadly too many judges are more then happy to do so even without the laws the way they are. By the way IMHO too many judges is one!
Some people will do what ever they think they can get away with. The following 3 quotes tend to point out human nature. Couple of em are somewhat old. Yet I think they still fit.
"The generality of men are naturally apt to be swayed by fear
rather than reverence, and to refrain from evil rather because
of the punishment that it brings than because of its own
foulness."
Aristotle (384-322 bc)
Greek philosopher
"I think that the sacredness of human life is a purely
municipal ideal of no validity outside the jurisdiction. I
believe that force, mitigated as far as may be by good
manners, is the ultimate ratio, and between two groups of men
that want to make inconsistent kinds of world I see no remedy
except force . . . It seems to me that every society rests on
the death of men."
Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes (1841-1935)
American jurist
"Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws." - Plato
IMHO Some people need to be made AFRAID! NOT most people mind you. Just the one's prone to doing harm to other for their own enjoyment/agrandizement/whatever. IMHO They need to be made AFRAID of those they prey upon. IMHO They tend to respect one another because of FEAR. FEAR that they will probably face retaliation for their violent actions against those like themselves.

Heard a news story on this the other day. They said that no one in the neighborhood where it happened is co operating with the investigation. Sounds like a real nice place to have kids grow up.

I picture monkeys.
Really, Jane Goodal described just such random murders by groups of chimps sge studied in the jungle.
You can take the monkey out of africa but you cant take africa out of the monkey, it seems.
