Title: Duel Accounts
Post by: BALSUR on December 29, 2005, 01:04:36 PM
I know this dog has been beaten before but, of course I gotta bring it back up. I personally dont care if someone has 2 or 3 accounts it's their money and HTC's profit. The problem arises when people use these accounts to spy and stalemate the whole arena. I know it's very difficult to prove such actions but when you launch 3 or 4 seperate missions and each one gets busted  before you even get there one has to think such spying is going on. So, what I was thinking was if there was someway for people with multiple accounts to be restricted to fly for one country only, thus eliminating an account in every country. Just wondering?

There were "spies" in the real war. Just think of it as added realism. And get a life.

I run 3 accounts. Unfortunately, one of them is a double agent, but I don't know which one. Since they're both spies, (even though one is ostensibly serving my better interests, albeit for financial rewards), I don't know which one I can trust, and which one is plotting my untimely demise.

I was extremely proud of myself for having devised such a clever network at first. I had initially thought this would provide me with an unprecedented amount of information, and insight into what the other countries are doing. Instead, it's just made me tremendously paranoid. :noid

lol hub.

What you guys running missions dont get sometimes is that people watch for a full sector of dar to pop up. When I see this, I drop what I am doing as soon as I can and grab something fast to go check it out.

Chances are, that if there is s full sector of dar, several bases beyond the front lines, there is going to be a mission of some sort there.

there something so kewl about upping in a mission as a spy. calling out the grids on a noe mission. calling out the grid of the poor goonies watching them die. its so pure its so evil i love it.

I know about the dar bar and the possiblity of someone saw you up. Most of the missions we run are noe and dont present a dar bar. As for possibility of being seen we don't up from a flashing base and are real careful about our approach. I know to expect maybe 1 or 2 people to check out a field thats flashing thats to be expected. It's when there's 10 osti's there waiting or when 1 guy ups and goes straight for the goon. You can run a couple of missions when this happens and say ok, bad timing or bad luck but  3 or 4 missions with the same results then you gotta start thinking about other things.

Your right wetrat, in real war there are spies and when found were promptly executed. I don't think HTC will "execute" anyone for spying so, nice try!

you do realise that there are squads that do just that.

back when i was a JB we spent almost a year on base defense only. if we saw a raid or possible raid on dar IB we'd auger, go there, up a dora and WEP NOE to to goon. knowing the MA mentality, and the map layouts, it is quite easy to guesstimate where the goon is comming from.

sometimes we'd have someone go suicidal as a spotter for the goon.

best way to stop a raid is kill the goon.

also, announce "huge raid IB XXX" on country, and alot of times people would up osties.

i can almost garuntee you 90% of supposed "spying" is just awareness by your enemy

When I see a mission inbound to a base, and I know which base they're very likely going to hit, I make it a point to announce (more than once) on country channel that there is infact a mission otw to a given field. Its then that people start rolling GV's and fighters to protect the base. Deffence sucks when you want to win the war dont it? :)

Ahh BALSUR my little patowan. You now see the ways of the dark side, good... good. I too have multiple identities and they serve me well. Problem is my shadow accounts are inconsistent. As a rook I excell in fighters, high alt., and the furball. As a Bish I am nothing but a clay pidgeon in a big skeet shoot. As a Knight I drink to much and pass out on squad night and soil myself. What to do....... What to do.......:huh

The guys I find dweeby are the ones that will occupy the SB when the cv is right off shore or jump in to the field gun at a vbase while they sit on the base in a panzer.

I just figure that the poor guys life is so full of failure that a sucess no matter how small is very important to him :)

I spoke of this particular situation before. My solution involved allowing rank to bump people from guns. Most double accounts are just 'dummie accounts' they have no rank, the person doesn't really play that account, they just use it for clandestine purposes, so any native of the country will have sufficient rank to supplant the 'dummie account'. To prevent these types of accounts from occupying and rendering useless 5 inch guns on CVs, shore bats, and field guns just make rank able to bump people...problem solved. Manable gun postions have no effect whatsoever on ones' score/rank itself so getting bumped by someone higher ranked than you will have no negative scoring ramifications.

This is actually the most common abuse perpetrated by the dual accounter, next to vectoring himself to un-revealed CVs.

Oh man this is too funny  :rofl :rofl

Balsur is referring to one of his 110 NOE missions to (I think it was) A29 on the ndisle map. I suddenly saw the the huge red bar pop up in the sector of A29 and upped my 109g2 to defend. Saw the horde of 110 working the town and thought well the goon can't be far of with this NOE mission so I head out (NOE) to the sea. Found the goon killed it and killed as many 110 afterwards.  :D

Then Balsur accuses me of having 2 accounts because there is no way in the world I could have known that the goon was there!

MUUHHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA  :rofl :rofl :rofl

You know what would have surprised me Balsur....if the goon had come in at 20k escorted by a fighter wing.

This must be 367th motto "if we screw up it must be  cheaters".  had Bloodeye call me cheater because i went goon hunting when we saw large dar bar inb  base 12  don't "know maps name" 3 of us  went out in la7's and 190d's goon hunting. killed their goons and got called cheaters, we then went back to base killed leftovers.    Me thinks this squad protest too much MAYBE they use spies so they think everyone else has too.

Doesn't everybody know that %99.99999999 of the misshuns ALWAYS have the goons straggling behind .... low on the deck. You don't need a spy to clue you in on that.

If ya really want to run a correct NOE mission, you have at least 2 goons leave WAY before the missions does, and have them loiter around and outside the radar circle and under radar. Just prior to the mission breaking the dar circle, the goons head to the target. The attacking force will pass the goons, level the town, kill the ack, and create a cap ... all within 30 seconds ... and the goons drop unopposed or if someone does happen to get up ... its too late or they run towards the back of the attacking mission looking for the straggling goon(s) ... that aren't there. MAW Tactics 101.

I know Apar would like to think this was all about him, typical of a BK. I hadn't even added that one to the mix but since you bring it up. You say you saw the dar bar, funny you got up while the 110's had been hitting the town for 3 or 4 minutes. Since our closest field was NE about 30 miles according to your squad methods you would have flown NE to intercept goon. You did spawn NE then all of a sudden like a little bird told you. You turned abruptly around and flew SW. Wow, straight to the goon who wasn't even visible from the town or field. Wow, some instinct to know right where the goon was even if he was 10 miles in differant direction hidden by a mountian. You should get into finding the missing socks in peoples houses you'd make alot of money. BTW, I didnt say you were spying, I asked you who told you. So, feeling defensive about something?

You actually DID accuse me of using a second account on ch200, THAT's why I bring it up. You have no proof. FILM it and SEND your complain to HTC they will know what to do with it. Otherwise simply keep your accusations to yourself in the MA Balsur.

And for the replies on your whine....well you reap what you sow ;)

I really enjoy this BK conspiracy theory.  What makes it so humorous is that you are trying to accuse the group that cares the least about landgrabbing of wasting hours of time following your sad missions around just to up one lone 109 G2 in defense of an entire base.  I'm not sure you've thought this through all the way.  If we were spying, why didn't the whole squad up to protect this incredibly important piece of real estate?  I'll save you time, and tell you why...  cus we don't care.  Apar thought it would be fun to mess with your mission after he saw you guys pop up on dar bar.  He figured you out, then pwned all you guys in a lowly g2 (I know you LW guys don't agree with this comment, but don't hijack my rant) ;)

The reason BKs go after missions is because of 1 thing:  lots of targets.  Your missions are the only combined fighting effort that goes on in this virtual world most of the time, and what is so sad is that we have to fly 30 minutes to actually intercept you because you fly away from danger on purpose.  Its not our fault that you are easy to pick out and mistakenly leave your goons out in the open and alone.  Instead of wasting so much time accusing people of cheating, why not try and refine your strategy a little?  :O

Exactly Balsur, we're not the ones whining about spies and why our country can't win the war.  I don't think you'll be happy unless you can pin all your shortcomings on others.  :aok

logical? what a laugh.  I find it funny you guys get real defensive about this post. Oh well, I suppose if bung jumping these posts make you guys feel better than by all means continue. In fact, I'll go start another one so, you guys can show us your Super Intelligent logic. Then you can feel really uber and go to sleep thinking maybe when you wake up the world will make you guys Gods.

Defensive? Dont flatter yourself, I dont know who you are, nor do I care what you think. A quick check of your stats shows why I dont know who you are, you are clearly nothing more than a target drone while logged in to the arena. Have you given any thought to the possibility that your mishunz failed because you are incompetent, not because spies gave you away?

This thread was about Dual (not Duel as you mispelled it) account spying, and I had said nothing directed at you until you posted this:

So, logically[/i] I can assume you intentionally hijacked your own thread when the opportunity arose to take a shot at the BK's. You have nobody to blame but yourself that this turned into yet another BK Fanboi thread since you are the Fanboi that did it.

I have never Hijacked any threads here. Yet, when I do post a question or a matter of interest. I always get smart remarks from some of the BK's. They always start some crap and then try to say we're the good guys here. You know what. That's as elementary school as you can get. It's not just me I see the hijacking and wise cracking on alot of people's posts. I have talked to many people who don't come in an post or reply because of people like you.

You, guys talk about how great you are and how everyone else just sucks. What planet do you guys live on? I mean really you said it yourself Grits. You have no idea who I am and nothing about me. You judge by what my stats are? I am glad I don't know you people.

One question, Balsur.  Did you or did you not accuse Apar of spying?

Drawing attention away from this ridicules whine post? It's not going to work, I'll stick to this one, because this one gives a good clue about your narrow minded view of a virtual world also called a game

This thread was about Dual accounts until YOU threw an insult at us. You hijacked your own thread.

The only thing I judge about you from your stats is that you are not much more than a target, which is directly linked to the question I posed in the next sentence:

"Have you given any thought to the possibility that your mishunz failed because you are incompetent, not because spies gave you away?"

So, have you?
