That communications officer must have picked up something on that alien ship that required a little decontamination gel. Oh damm, the away team was in suits the whole time. Perhaps the next episode of Enterprise will feature some t-shirt clad zero-g workouts or a trip to the alien beach planet for some R&R  :)
