Title: Pause when activating vox mic
Post by: SkyGnome on January 01, 2006, 01:23:31 PM
I get a brief pause when I use vox for the first time (or after not using it for a few minutes.)  This started occuring after the faster graphics update.

I've searched around a bit, but only found people with the same problem, and fixes that don't work for me.

Is there a solution to this?  Is it an acknowledged bug?

Thanks.

try making sure you have your hardware acceleration in sounds is turned down to 3/4

I was one of the people with the very same problem.

Deleting my entire settings folder and just copy pasting the plane.cfg (ie head positions) and stick.cfg back into the new one did it for me.

Im not sure wich custom setting was cause of the pauses, but i suspect it was the "use wave in" in VOX setup. Try changing that one....

That's the cause of my pauses, but they happen with every transmission. If I don't use Wave In, my computer locks up.
