Get with Sandman, he's really into this as well. IIRC he's got some interesting stuff on his website about this (link can be found in his sigline)
-
not that there is anything wrong with that but...
"get with sandman" is very descriptive of the act for one who would cash geo's

What size shot should be used for hunting geos?
Are they hard to clean?
Better fried, baked or smoked?

There are a few pics there (http://dotdoubledot.com/image.html), but not much else. I've slowed up considerably the last couple of months. Between mountain-biking and reflooring my house, I haven't been out much. I'm awfully close to 100 finds. Here's my profile (http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=1ae66e84-b867-4b98-ad71-728a096d8bab)
SOB (http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=ab0ad60c-4d53-4d95-8af6-84c8e3437f38) is into it also.
I have three hides:
Slate Range Crossing (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=29526265-d852-464d-a8db-146f85e713f9)
Pinnacles Sci-Fi Book Box (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=10bb2d53-505d-4d0f-9535-87b36eabf504)
Tres Equis Puzzle (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=93e054b7-7930-460f-89b1-80cc61744491)
ASTAC, what's your username at Geocaching.com?
Tips:
If you haven't signed up for the premium membership, I highly recommend it. The pocket query function alone is worth the $3/month.
Get GSAK (http://www.gsak.net/). With this software, Plucker (http://www.plkr.org/), and a Palm Pilot, you can go paperless.

Another similar hobby is Letterboxing.
http://www.letterboxing.org
The difference is that in letterboxing the goal is found through clues and directions, sometimes with a compass, and the treasure is a new stamp in your logbook.
Great family fun.

Quite the understatement. ;)
It gets easier. I've got an ammo can here ready to go. Just haven't found a place for it yet.
-
Oh and I am a premium member. Not that it matters..dropped my handheld, can't replace at least til the end of the month.
-
wow... here I thought you guys were pansies but.... my freinds cash ammo boxes too. small world.

Maybe you're friends are pansies too. ;)
-
It is a possibility but I have a "don't ask don't tell" policy. That includes... "don't invite me to see Broke butt mountain" with you.

I won't see it until I get home. You can use PM here if you like.

I stayed at a beach house over at Neskowin on the coast with some friends over New Years, and really wanted to do this one (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=4c902d0e-e887-4f2e-b1ac-4606ed76bae7), but it was too cold, rainy & windy to go wading through the surf. I'm gonna have to go back though!
It's up on this big rock...

SOB, you should have been able to drive a car over to that rock, no problem.

ASTAC, I forgot to show you this:
I made this handy website (http://dotdoubledot.com/teamxterror/) using GSAK (http://gsak.net/). I upload the entire thing to a Palm Pilot.
