everyone prolly survived. they are trained to quickly exit the helo in such an event. the pilot pannicked and turned off the deack too soon. he or she should have gotten more altitude and turned towards the superstructure to avoid protrusions from the aft.

That happened here off the coast of Virginia a few years ago. Only 2 survivors if IRC. Couple of deaths invovled with that one.

Really wouldn't of mattered what he did.   His port side rear landilng gear was caught in the rigging.   When he tried to lift back off the stuck landing gear cause the chopper to flip over, since it was entangled.

Wow!  What the devil was that chopper pilot looking at?  I mean, hell, he looked like someone out of fuel, lift or something to do that, and he sure wasn't out of fuel.  He was in a hell of a hurry to land though.
When did this happen?  Did they make it out of the chopper OK?
