hey don't credit those norse bastages with my countries culinary treats:

When people first started eating lutefisk is controversial. Some enthusiasts claim the tradition goes back to the age of Vikings, other and contrasting views claim that the meal has 16th century Dutch origins. Despite this, it is somewhat commonly agreed that the first written mention of the phenomenon "lutefisk" traces back to a letter from Swedish king Gustav I in 1540, and the first written description of the preparation process is in Swedish archbishop Olaus Magnus's (1490–1557) personal writings from 1555.

The luke fish is the lesser known cousin of the lutefiske.  It's jedi powers keep it from being captured in fishermans nets.

"NORWAY, TEXAS. Norway was a farm community on the Texas-Mexican Railway five miles southwest of Benavides in central Duval County. It was probably named for its proximity to the community of Sweden, and was founded before 1947, when it had an estimated population of twenty. By the late 1960s Norway was no longer shown on maps of the area."  :)

I was talking about the decision they made not to invest in companies who have anything to do with building nukes.

How can that be considered brave? If anything it's just a naive, idealistic, unrealistic and hypocritical ( word of the week).

Why don't they take the idea a little further and stop all oil sales to any nation that has anything to do with nuclear weapons? Hey, they could even refuse to do any business with any nation that has anything to do with nuclear weapons. That might be considered alittle more worthy of some sort of bravery.

Istead they come up with this hypocritical half-measure and want to feel like they are taking some kind of realistic actions to back up their ideals concerning nukes.

And the funny part is that Lada thinks it's brave! :lol

Want to do something really brave?  Guarantee the security of Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Taiwan.

If you are willing to do that, the US could actually reduce some of it’s nuclear weapons.

Less money in nuclear programs.... its greate, you should be happy. I trough that its most honest universal effort of US :p

On another note (let's not leave this fire to die out...) Chirac announced yesterday that there will be a new (gen4) nuclear powerplant built in Rouen to lessen the dependency of oil.

I have a 440 six pack 1969 cuda, a lincoln navigator, a 41 ft Hinkley Sloop, a 28ft. boston whaler twin 150 merc's and a 17 ft. custom skiff I use for inshore fishing for reds and snook. I use a Ford 250 duelie to pull the whaler and skiff.

Rinker is a nice boat, I made a trip from San Diego to Panama in a 28 Ranger back in the 70's. You will need to suck up whats left of that oil, that rinker gets bad mileage :lol

Most people here think its a good thing that the money follows the politics we belive in. To say one thing and do the oposite would be a double-standard. There are plenty of investment oportunities out there.

NATO Stavanger, Norway

NATO’s new Joint Warfare Centre (JWC), which comes under the command of Allied Command of Transformation (ACT) in Norfolk, USA. This Centre is one of the major tools for ACT to develop new joint concepts for NATO.

You'll have to take that up with NATO. Personally with the fall of the Soviet Union I don't see any need for the US to defend western Europe. But if I where you, I'd keep a close eye on Germany. They got a tunnel under the channel now.
