Title: The land cruisers

Twilight Zone time.

I took off from, er, A13 I think, on Okinawa map.   Was taking flak during the takeoff run.  Looked out the left window, saw a destroyer shooting at me.  A destroyer sitting on the field.  More accurately, a destroyer moving across the field, with a carrier and cruiser and other boats behind it (all of which began shooting at me).

Took a film, which I would like to post here, but can't figure out how.  The film doesn't show the boats, but it DOES show the ack coming up from nowhere and moving across the land.

What the heck happened?
