it's nice to have such an energetic and unflinching ally. especially in the wake of such shakey and willowy support from other partners.
the english have always been like that.....bland country, tatse-free food, silly cars on the wrong side of the road, etc....but an awesome people with orbs of steel. ;)
everytime i turn on the tube i am reminded of the strengh of that old friendship. i'm almost moved to sing the anne murray version of 'you've got a friend' but not quite.

Hello All,
Not ever being in the armed forces myself for my country but would without hesitaion if the need arose as i'm sure many others would, I feel proud that our resources are helping out the most democratic country on the face of this earth in this a time of trial
This is not a smaller partner aiding a greater power it is a in your-face stand for what the real world stands for which is democracy and peace, And an end to attrocities against innocent people trying to live their lives by peaceful means
I wish all involved a heartfelt thankyou and a god bless and safe return in whatever acts they have to do and may have to do
I was raised with the knowledge that america was our greatest friend/partner and have the upmost admiration for all involved in these testing times allbeit american in main and british/most other european countries at her side
Brothers in arms are what i believe we are (americas allies) and brothers in arms are sometimes killed in battle, Sadly i feel that this may become reality sooner rather than later, To this i cannot find words within me to equate to how much i feel regard and grattitude to people who enlist to serve their country and fight to save democratic rights all over this earth
I am a great believer in "what goes around comes around" or "an eye for an eye" and i hope all involved have the conscience and foresight to see this thing through, Saying that with so many people putting their lives in harms way for my own peaceful beliefs and my family too and all others in my particualar country is comforting to say the least
Do us proud, Well it strikes a chord but all our forces do us proud each day 24/7 not just when when they have the limelight and be seen to be combatting terror
Remember all those that have gone before to bring us to a democratic society and a place we all know and love as our own
God Bless All
Def a Limey

Thanks to you Britain. Friends help friends.
I'm sure the United States won't take this trivially either. You can expect much from us Yanks if you ask.
Hans, from Nebraska.

<S> Yanks!
All though my yet short life I have always respected you guys. Both our countries have its faults but with our combined understanding and coperation I believe that we can defeat the terrorist threat that faces our world today.
If feel proud to have our great country standing next to another great country.
God Bless Great Britian, God Bless the United States of America.

World Cup? WTF is that? Is that like the Super bowl? ;)
-
I think both country's have an agenda.
The British want to teach them how to properly ride to the hounds. That, playing polo with a headless calf thing, is far to disorganized.
We, of course, want to set up a few titty bars. Let's face it. Them boys look like they need some kind of an outlet. A cold one, and a lap dance, might do them a world of good.

Heh. Put it this way - it's like a World Series that actually involves the whole world! Would you believe it?! ;)
And football is the biggest sport in the world. So there.

lol Easymo.
But the thing you don't realise is that the Taliban leaders, while proclaiming to be very holy, devout and condescending to women, are in fact probably colossal perverts enjoying bizarre fetish pornography in total secrecy. Meanwhile they promote and enforce strict sexual laws to their countrymen, denying them one of the true pleasures of life.
I'll bet you anything it's that way. Organised piety always leaves plenty of room for the upper echelons to take advantage. ;)

Didn't you bums burn our capitol and trash Sam Adams's White House back in 1812?
Shheseh; I don't like his beer either, but that WAS kinda harsh.
Anyway; all's forgiven I guess... as long as yer scottish pals leave the Haggis home.
<S!> Citizens of the United Kingdom, bless yer limey hearts for standing on the line WITH us.
