Title: Vox problems...
Post by: Holly83 on January 08, 2006, 05:01:36 PM
Since the last update, I haven't been able to hear anyone talk by voice, but they can hear me... I've checked my volume settings on windows and in AH, but they're all up as far as they'll go. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas other than reinstalling AH?

When you use the MSWindows Recorder, does it record your voice.  That's the first step, make sure the sound card and mic works.

Yes, the sound recorder works perfectly and people can hear me on voice in the h2h rooms.... I don't have any problems with sound with my other sounds except for the voice.... and the other sounds aren't drowning people on vox because I usually try hearing people when I'm still in the tower.

You talking on vox chan or on range?

..... cause range voice wont transmit from in-flight to tower and vice versa.

Also, if thats not the trouble.... have you tried the .resetv commands?

.resetv 1
.resetv 2
.resetv 3

I'm talking about either... No, I haven't tried the reset command, but wouldn't it reset itself automatically when I start AH? I'll try that tomorrow and see if it helps...

Actually, yes, it should reset when AH is restarted. But... Desperate times Holly ....... ;)

The only other thing I can think of is that you've turn it down in the AH Settings.  Perhaps you were trying to reduce some other sound and muted vox as well.

I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, but that didn't solve my problems. The settings on AH voice menu all look ok, and I can hear myself with my sound recorder. I can even hear myself now when I put myself on the vox channel and try to talk, but nobody can hear me on the range or channel (100 or 200).
I know how to change the vox channels and all that and I've used voice before, so that's not the problem...

Anyone have any other ideas?
