How about reseting the perks every month, we all have like 7000 at least and there is just no reson for it. Is there really anyone who cannot fly the plane they want because they dont have the perks? I mean even 50 perks for a plane is really nothing. If they were reset each month then using a perk plane would mean something.
-
Well, if i keep flying the 262 the way i did today....Ill run out of perkies soon. ;)
And, remeber when you first started out? How long did it take for you to get the first 100 perks?
Now, thats not even half a 262 (depending on the ENY of course).
-
nah i have like 6100fighter perks 3400 bomber perks 2650 gv perks. I dont fly perk planes much cept for a chog and a tiger. But i worked hard to get those perks and lose them i would like to keep them.
-
Wish I could transfer my fighter point to my GV points:(
-
I would buy perks !
I lost all my perks last tour, but was fun

Savin' all my perks for a new car. 20000 more Bish/Rooks til then. :)
-
That's why I like the Idea of adding the MiG -15 and F-86 :D
Enable them when a country is getting ganged, and charge 500perks for each of them. to at least get the country getting it up the rear a fighting chance. Or charge 700 perks hell even add the B-29 as a super perk bomber, but no Nuke.

And what purpose would this serve ? ... what's your point ?
I have no where near 7000 perks ...
-
This system would make it so getting perks means something, When I land 4 perks it really does not mean anything. in this system it might.
-
If you reset perks every month then those people who keep paying there accounts every month even though they are unable to play for a couple of months have no reason to keep paying!
-
Change your name, or delete your account and create a new one every month. That way, you'll never have many perks, and they'll mean something to you. Problem solved, without screwing the rest of HTC's customers.
-
No reason other than keeping their game-id and pure comfort factor.
I have 400 or so fighter perks now again after I blew all of them flying suicide missions with the 262.

makes NO sence... i know some players personally that only get to log on about 4 hours per week total...
1 in particular has been saving perks for a couple of years, and he has not broken 1000 ever. why should players like that be punished?
-
90% of people save perks with no intention of ever using them.
Reminds me of many retards who save money just for the sake of saving it, living in relative poverty and all money in the bank. Nuts.

I'm talking about the guys who dont fly enough to earn 1000's of perks.
i should re-state the guy i am talking about in 2 years has not earned 1000 perks even. he's lucky to get 10 perks in a night tops. he's a good pilot, but wife ack barely lets him on, and when he is on he doesn't care about landing kills for perks. just about flying for fun. i know there are quite a few out there like that.
-
How about instead do something like the way vacation days are handled at some companies. That is, at the end of each campaign anything over 1000 perks is tossed out (i.e. unused vacation days are lost). That provides incentive for those with gobs of 'em to use 'em, and doesn't penelize the infrequent flyers.
-
Welll, what i dont get is.... Why do those 'perk stocks' annoy you at all? Its not that theres a max amount of perkies and someone stckpiling keeps another from getting them?
I mean who does care and why if i have 1000, 3000 or 30000 perkies lying around on my account?
More usage of perks would only mean more cherrypicking Temps, C-Hogs, 262s.....
Actually, i have more fun flying the early war planes. The perkers, especially the Jets dont really hold any incentive to fly them for me..... soooo.... i have many useless perks. If i could give them to someone else i would, but alas, theyre living a happy live in my hangar drawer, rarely to see the light of day. Sad story, huh?
-
To put it as bluntly as posible, this idea is stupid.
I save up 1000's of perks for nights when I'm drunk, and happy and feel like turn fighting my 262's with anything that comes at me. I lose jet after jet on these nights and have a hell of alot of fun doing it. One night I blew over 1000 perks and never even made it out of the radar circle of my base.
THAT is why some of us save perks... So we can do stupid crap with expensive perk planes. Limiting the number of perks I am allowed to have will limit my fun. And who are you to tell me how much fun I am allowed to have if I can afford to do so.
-
pritty much stupid ...
I like my "perk cushion " I can fly anything i want at anytime . i dont always have the time to earn a 262 .
-
To put this as politely as possible I’m with Shatzi on this.
Why would it matter to anyone how many or little perks another player has? I mean if you think about it, its meaningless.
If you feel you have too many perks just up a 262...roll onto the grass...and end mission till you are at 0 perkies. You wouldn’t even have to wait till the end of the month either. You could do this every other day and keep your perk points to a bare minimum.
-
if you cant earn enough perk points for a perk plane you have no buisness flying one cause your just going to crash it.
-
Just give each user the ability to reset their own perks to zero.
(why I have no idea, but hey, if they want to do it so it means something to them to get more, let 'em! ):aok

Earning perks is a function of time as much as skill.
Are you implying that since I don't put in the hours to earn 1000's of perks I am not qualified to fly a 262? Somehow I think my 19 years flying these games would rule out pilot error, eh?
-
wow I really pissed you all off lol!
-
Here's an Idea.
I think we should reset our bank accounts every month. Its not fair for some people to not work at all and have no money when others work all day every day and make six figures. So, at the end of every month, the bank will reset your savings to make it fair for everyone.
-
What are perks?
-
LoL, how about reversing the System less experianced pilots can fly temps, spit14's, 262's and experianced ones fly p40's I know morph is gonna bite on this one!
-
Im all for letting newbs like you fly low eny perk planes against the likes of my 38. Money in the bank. :)
-
I've just been playing for a few months and I have only a few hundred of each. I'd be might peed off to have them all wiped off.
Crap idea....sorry.
It's like telling the people they have to burn their money and live off what they can earn each month and not have any savings.

well after 19 years if you cant take a nmy 40 or higher plane and in an hour or 2 farm enough points for a 262 from a furball maybe

Chill with the silly requests for non WWII era planes! THis must be the 4th or 5th thread you've suggested this in. We like Korean-war jet fighters as much as you, but they have no place in a WWII Flight Sim my man!

Actually, the perks earned either way would have exactly the same meaning. It is how they are used which would change.

I spend mine on whiskey in the O'Club :(

I am crushed. You guys have ruined my year. Already. All this time I thought that "perk points" were like coupons I could use towards the wife having a boob job this year. I almost had enough perkies for the downpayment. NOW what will I do? :cry

Your assumption was that anyone without 1000's of perks didn't have the skill to deserve them in the first place. And that's as wrong an assumption as that everyone has the 1000's of perks at all.
FWIW, I have no interest in flying a 262 or 163 ... "Jet Nite" in WB was such a horrific warp-fest that I am forever scarred from the experience. I also never re-arm my plane, I always just land and exit ... perks have no real impact on me in particular. And I suspect amongst that holds true for a lot of veteran players who fly only a few times a month.
-
what I am saying is if you cant earn the 200 perks for a 262 easy you should not be flying one cause your just going to break it.
-
LMAO This thread cracks me up....
I get bent outta shape losing 8 tigers one night and have to drive M3's all over Manmade hell to get my perks back up.....
And someone wants to willingly throw theirs away?
I can understand with Bomber perks... They are pretty useless as the game is now. But 262 or 163 raids on a squadnite are a blast...
But then its back to the freebirds for me...
I like my non perked birds but Its fun to have a perk waste night and fly temptests or Chogs.
All hail the perk!:rofl
-
I have now @ 250 perks a ride 40 262's at my disposal. No...you cannot reset them.
Im a Perkie Addict and I approved this ad.

I watched Ghi attack GVs with 163s for about an hour one night. While not exactly a task to which bottlerockets are well suited, it was fairly entertaining.
As an aside, has anyone else noticed that Ghi sounds just like Count Chocula when he's been drinking? ;)
