Well it was bound to happen sooner or later.
I have been flying in Air Warrior and Aces HIGH for 10+ years.
After 10 years I still SUCK in a fighter. I was pertty good in a B17 in AW and was just Decent in a B17 in AH.
Like everyone else when I started I tended to fly ALL THE TIME. I would get home from work - hop online and do a mission or 2 - eat dinner - then fly till 11 PM or so - sometimes past midnight.
When paying for AW went from per hour to per month it was like getting a PAY RAISE !
I eventually fell in love with scenarios. Heck 1999 I think we had a scenario going by different groups every month ! I went from a pilot to a GL to an XO to a CO to running and designing them over the years. By then my FR or MA flying time was just to keep the rust off waiting for the next scenario. I flew in too many to count but some that stand out were Peenumunde, Ploesti, Guadacanal, Midway ( Both AW and AH ) both runs of Pearl and any with a B17 in it !
I also got hooked on Conventions. I first got to meet some of you in San Fran in 98, then Dallas in 99. I hosted the 2000 con in Indy - it was a BLAST ! I went to the Seattle con in 2001 ( the last AW CON ) and I hosted the 2003 AH Con back in Indy again. I would do it all over again if given the chance.
But I find I no longer have the desire or inspiration to fly any more.
There just is not a spark that tells me when I am in front of the PC to load up and FLY AH any more.
Keep the fighting to a minimum. remember you should have FUN when you fly !
ALL !

Jordi, sorry to see you go. However, you will be back! You'll take a good long time off, then one day, you'll hear about something or get the urge to be in an interesting-sounding scenario again, and you'll get the bug and be back. At least I hope so. :)

Your leaving is a huge hit on the scenario scene, I hope you return soon... you're a good guy and we'll miss you.

Jordi,
BIG SALUTE!
If my feeble memory is correct you were FL, GL or some sort of Leader in my first senario back in AW. When ever I sign up for a senario I look for you, knowing which side is going to have fun:aok
Thanks for all the great work, leadership and good times.
I have faded in and out too many times myself, so I understand.
P.S You could always give Extreme Air Racing a try:eek:

You will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
Take care my friend and I hope your time away is short.

Managing scenarios is a huge drain on the spark needed to play the game. That's kind of what did me in several times. It's best to take a break for several months or years until you get the itch to play again.
