Not sure what the deal is here. Nothing classified was sent, so why are they under arrest? Sometimes we have a silly way of selling freedom.

In August, the convictions and sentences of five alleged Cuban spies were "thrown out" by a federal appeals court, which said the five were unfairly tried because of intense publicity, community prejudice and inflammatory remarks by prosecutors.
Well with this track record they probably don't have much to worry about...

The couple were charged with acting as agents of Fidel Castro without registering with the U.S. government.
Seems like this is a crime, maybe that answers your question?

If they can toss Martha Stewart in Jail for lying while not under oath about something that wasn't even illegal in the first place, I'm sure they can toss these clowns in jail.

Well thank god the Feds are on the case! I sure hope this didn't take too much time away from the war against Reefer Madness and pr0n featuring any positions other than missionary.
