Head is friends wife....unfortunately for him, body isn't.

Rotate the head, the agle is not right.
Blur the line very softly bewteen the chinline and chest and the hair.
try a few filters to blend it all in.
PS have weaselsan and weasel ever ended up in the same thread or would the there be some kind of methane explosion?

While you're at it, rotate Florida's peninsula 135 degrees counter clockwise
-
Yeah you want to have the photoshopped item (such as a head) as close to the real thing as possible. If the models head was turned that was then that head positioning MIGHT look good. Also the lighting isn't great, given it was your first attempt, i'd say it's pretty good.

Question.
always wondered this.
How do you cut out something like just the head as is done in that pic. get all the hair and everything and manage to paste onto a different picture without also getting some of the background from the original picture onto the one your pasting (I am assuming its being pasted) as well as getting the scale right from one pic to the next?

You can crap using the mouse and zooming into the image.
You can resize and rotate the head in a good photo editing program.
You will want to use layers as well so you overlay the changes so you can always undo things.
I always use adobe photshop but it has been years since I did one.

Can this be done with Gimp also?
-
If you know how to use Gimp. It's been monthes since i've used it, I could never figure out the tool to cut things out like is PS. I'm almost certain you can though, zoom in really close for the deatils, short pieces at a time, just in case you mess up. Gimp was a pain in the bellybutton for me to use after being taught PS at school.
Called the "lasso tool" in photoshop.

Layers man, layers. Yeah man. OK, layers, like in the pic above, with the original, the picture of the hot chick is the bottom layer...the picture of the friend's wife's head is another layer on top of the hot chick. So, erasing everything around the wife's head will remove her body and the background of her picture, while leaving the hot chick background intact.
I don't know much about GIMP, but I'm pretty sure it can do this...if it's worth a poop it can, and I've heard it's worth a poop or two. I use Photoshop though.
-
I DLed Gimp for free.
And I dont mess around with art and graphics enough for me to justify shelling out the kind of money that PS wants which as far as Im concerned is about $500 too much and even then I wont use it enough to justfy the expence LOL

I know how that is, photoshop is the stuff though. My only problem with gimp was that the delete key was ctrl something and it always messed me up so I had to undo a lot, I should download Gimp again though, could be worth learning. The lasso tool should be the top right tool in your box.

I paid $649.00. I thought it was a little high.

I was in air warrior for several years and flew a KI84 under the handle weasl. When I allowed a player from Japan to land after shooting him up pretty good, he referred to me on the open channel as weaslsan. So I changed it

I don't blame you, I really can't see any non professional using it, I'm just trying to spend all my money before I check out. I thought it was miles ahead of all other programs because of all the hype. But lots of programs can do every thing that photoshop can without the cost. In the mean time looking for a photo of a chick with massive mammeries so I can make a photo of my wife for my desk.

reduce the jugs and add this to improve your photoshop attempt :)

I use the, uh I think its called lasso tool. After you highlight the head / hair, cut, create a new layer and paste on top of the original.
From here you can use the eraser to clean stuff up....the lasso is fairly accurate, but it will pick up some of the background... which will blend in just fine when you paste on top & erase.

heh I think Im gonna try some of this.
Great fun can be had.
Lesseee Im gonna turn my wife into a porn star.
Maybe some of my brother and sister in laws too.
