Title: Deaths in gun placements
Post by: Krusty on January 14, 2006, 01:16:30 AM
Please kill people that man guns, don't pop them to the tower with "you landed xxx kills", but award them NO kill message and give the de facto kill to the person that popped their gun.

It's like an ostwind sitting on the runway. Either they exit before they die or they don't get the kill message.

If a pilot kills a soft gun with nobody in it, no kill, just a "gun destroyed" message.

I agree.... it is bad when I guy sits in a 5" and doesn't even shoot.  Goes out on the town for a while and comes back to find himself sitting in the tower of the CV with some 45 kills or something without firing a shot, all proxies.... joke!

Since people in gun emplacements no longer get points or perks....why should anyone care???

I can see the reasoning for Big guns. But for the manned ack? How is it different than an Osti? Your chances of hitting anything are the same and the manned ack dies easy.

Always seemed odd to me.

The people GUNNING get no points, but the ones KILLING sure as heck ought to earn a kill notice for it!

Manned field ack should get points same as an Osti. Both are 37mm and the Ack is wide open to attack. Not even a sand bag.
