Yesterday I started a thread after receiving a piece of disturbing flame-mail from someone calling himself "Ismail" reacting to an online article I wrote on Islam. He indicated in no uncertain terms what he would like to happen to me referencing a link to a video put together by some group calling itself the Islamic Media Front which is "Top Ten" compilation of sickening video clips shot by Jihadists, during and after "Martyrdom operations" interspersed with Quran Quotes, etc.

I posted a link to the vid in my message, which I found out is a violation of the BB rules and for that I want to sincerely apologize to the list and to HT. It was a bad choice on my part. I justified the decision at the time because I was genuinely disgusted and disturbed and because most if not all of the original videos have already been shown on Al Jazeera. In retrospect I agree that civilized people should have a higher standard for acceptable content than Al Jazeera does.

Please accept my sincere apologies, apparently my stores of common sense, if they ever existed, appear to be depleted.

His IP and all the tags were anonymized and the email address was also bogus. My Spam filter actually tagged it and put it in the trash, but I always do a check on spam because my filter (Pixbyte) often catches legitimate email as well.

I don't know if the two are related but the producer of the video, the Islamic Media Front, also recently issued a global call for a "kind of Jihad" via the internet. A friend of mine who runs an apologetics website which discusses Islam has also noticed his flame emails have gone up of late.

PS: SOA, offering the Pastor a beer is not a sin, unless perhaps its a really bad beer.

No worries from here Goon, I didn't see the link and usually don't click on stuff like that. Either way we all make mistakes.

I agree..I always miss the "rule 15" posts.

That was me in my younger and dumber days. Sorry.

Seagoon, your apoligizing to a group who has a attention span of about 5 topics. i doubt any of us would have held it aganst you. Still your very honorable for apoligizing.
